The volume of water vapour in the compressed air is determined by the volume of water content in the compressed air, which can be reduced by reducing the temperature of the compressed air while keeping the pressure of the compressed air essentially unchanged, while the excess water vapours condensate into liquids, and the refrigerated dryer uses refrigeration devices to cool the compressed air to a certain level of surface temperature, dissects the water content, drains the water through the air separator and the electric drainer, thus drying the compressed air.
