It is soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, adipose ketone and esters, etc., but only soluble in acetone. Certain mineral oils, organic acids, alkalin, salt, low-grade alcohols and their aqueous solutions are resistant. Low water intake still maintains its mechanical performance and size stability in a wet environment. Optical performance is second only to acrylic resin. Electricity performance, volume resistance and surface resistance are high and are not affected by changes in temperature and humidity or by electro-shock discharge. Irradiation tolerance is good。

Production consists of integrative polymerization, soluble polymerization, suspended polymerization and emulsion polymerization.
