Thinking differently in the same news - talkingNews coverage"specificityPrecisionSpecial features andDepthThe key words of the paper are: specific papers, press papers, in-depth papers, accurate papers, press papers, which do not represent the views of the site and are available for academic reference, and articles are downloaded for reference purposes only。

The media's perception of the need for “news to be real” was unanimous and clear, but it only resolvedNews authenticityThe “mass” question is that the news must be factually recreated. In the view of the author, there is also the question of the “quantitative” nature of the news, i. E., the extent to which it reflects the truth may be profound. The volume of news authenticity refers to the depth of the news, which we define as the varying extent to which it reflects the truth。

The true volume of news is highly relevant to its presentation. This paper analyses the depth of the news in the light of the 3 october 1996 report of the people's daily newspaper, the chinese youth newspaper and the beijing youth newspaper on the chinese children's publications。

At the outset, it should be noted that the content of the three news items is real, but the depth of the authenticity produced varies markedly, as the respective narratives differ。

First, when reporting on the scene, the details are different and the depth of their authenticity varies。

The coverage of the news scenes is often characterized by different details, with different sides looking at the same facts and presenting different scenarios. Some scenes are representative of the facts and one side of the same coin; others are not representative of the facts, are not unique to the event and cannot give a true picture of the news。

If a personal dimension was chosen to present the scene, then the news would reflect the specific scene more accurately; on the contrary, it would be the same as other events, blurring human images and reducing the depth of their authenticity。

The coverage of the opening of the exhibition, as expressed in the news of the chinese youth newspaper:

On the morning of 2 october, china's children's publications were re-opened at the beijing exhibition with the drums of the seven-colored young drum band。

In the rain, the beijing exhibition hall was covered in red and green, with numerous colour balls and bands. With the smiles of the children here comes another holiday for the children's publishers and children。

The news from the beijing youth newspaper chose a more distinctive scene:

In the morning, a large number of children and parents gathered at the north fair gate, most of whom learned about the exhibition from newspapers or other news media, and parents lined up to buy tickets, while the children were especially cared for — free of charge. According to the conductor, between 11 and 12, between 600 and 700 tickets were sold on a $2 ticket。

The details of these two statements are clearly different, the former choosing the atmosphere on the ground and the latter choosing the audience on the ground. By comparing the two expressions, it can be seen that, in addition to the “hard fact” of the “beijing seven light-rain boys’ drums”, the rest of the descriptions of “light rain”, “colour ball”, “colour band” etc. Can be used at any exhibition. You say it's not real, and it's clearly untenable; you say it's real, but you don't see the real picture of this. The latter presentation, which brought together more personal “hard facts”, truly reflected the characteristics of the opening of the exhibit, such as “a large number of children and parents at the door”, “parents standing in line to buy tickets”, “children being especially cared for — free of charge”, and “60 to 700 tickets per ticket, according to the conductor, from 11 to 12 p. M., for $2 per ticket”, which was unique to the exhibition, so that the trueness of the news was deeply personalized。

Secondly, the presentation of basic facts in the news varies in detail and in depth。

Any facts are the result of a series of fragments that the news, through their coverage, recreates to the audience the true images of the basic facts. Because of the large number of fact sheets and the limited number of news clips, journalists have to select focused clips to accurately present events. However, the determination of the focus of the underlying facts and the presentation of the focus vary in detail, so does the depth of the news。

This difference in the depth of authenticity is evident in the live coverage of the exhibition。

The basic facts of this exhibition are described in the daily people's journal as follows:

In 4,000 square metres of exhibition halls, children's publications were displayed in a variety of children's books, periodicals, newspapers, audio-visual products and electronic publications. There are four features of the exhibition: the first display of animated chinese children's publishing project, with preliminary results, will be tested by small readers; the special collections will focus on the collection of the annual “five one projects” award-winning books, the national book award award-winning books and the related children's books; the exhibit will be attended by 29 groups and 100 publishers in 26 provinces, including 29 children's publishers, 29 children's newspapers and 70 periodicals, the largest of any given year's children's book exhibition; and the exhibition will be presented and distributed at each exhibition as a combination。

The news of the beijing youth newspaper states:

Of particular note is the installation of the beijing exhibition area. Its main object is the north sea white tower, with the creative colour of transforming. The blue sky and the green willows of the tobeta; the other is the most beijing-flavored version of the tasting snack, the ice-cracker, which is designed to be decorated around the booths, the centre, the poles; small displays such as sales areas, cartoon worlds, fairy-tale stands, chairs, etc., are designed to be mushrooms, little boots, etc.; and for the benefit of small readers, the entire panel, stand, displays are designed to be small and lively. The first set of books opened by the beijing exhibit was the cartoons of beijing's co-concerning press, " what's 100,000 why " , and the new edition of beijing press, " a selection of the world's youth literature " , 55, which attracted the general interest of both children and parents. The book is dedicated to 62 grams of rubber paper (plus yellow), number 4, with brown, blue, red, green four colours, and illustrations of children's cartoons are not only comfortable, but also beautiful。

Young yin and his mother came here to buy books, and they immediately bought a book series called "the talent of talents." the mother of the red-fried little friend said that 500,600 dollars had been earmarked for the purchase of books for the child, and she thought that the environment was good and that the books were very diverse and particularly suitable for bringing children。

The exhibit, which is a combination of exhibition-oriented exhibits, will be sold centrally in east square, with children being welcomed and children with balloons everywhere. The bookshop is also full of passionate little readers and parents. In addition, the live performance of the chinese puppet theatres added a great amount of success。

In the former, the author summarized the four features of the exhibition site through his own observations, which were succinct, and in the latter, the author selected a typical exhibition area and a viewer for a detailed description and description, which was more contagious。

It follows from this that the degree of detail that the news gives to the underlying facts directly affects the clarity of the factual picture of the news. The more detailed the picture is, the clearer it is; the shorter it is, the blurr it is. Of course, “difficulties” cannot increase clarity indefinitely, but it is important to capture the typical detail, to be precise and to recreate the whole story. The report of the beijing youth newspaper details two interviews, with a brief live overview, which is better combined with the depth of authenticity than another。

When characterizing facts, news stories should be sensitive to representative typical details and try to make the sum of several typical details reflect the whole truth in a comprehensive manner, which would be useful in deepening the depth of truth。

Iii. Whether or not the facts cited as evaluative are accurate varies in depth。

In the reports, evaluative facts are often cited to substantiate journalists ' views. The evaluative facts refer to the fact that the current status and trends of the events are valued and are intertwined with the views of journalists. The journalist's views derive from the content of the report, which may be included in the subject's own context, or may be summarized by the journalist through his observations of the subject. The inclusion of evaluative facts in journalists ' views serves as an outline for a story。

There is also the question of how to express the evaluative facts and views in order to be more realistic. This refers mainly to the presentation of factual examples. Any point of view needs to be based on facts, which are not convincing. Any observations made in the report should be accompanied by facts. Such an example would not only be true, but would also deepen the credibility of the news, if the facts were accurate。

The view that “the quality of children's publications is improving” was raised in several articles of this exhibition, as expressed in the newspaper people's daily:

Children's books are published under the direct care of the party's centre, with a wide variety of subjects and forms, excellent printed frame and improved quality of books, with good social benefits. According to statistics, 447 children's books were awarded out of the national book award for outstanding children, a good book award for the five one projects and a chinese book award。

The news of the beijing youth newspaper states:

The rate of re-reprinting of outstanding children's books is also increasing. Children's books were published in 1993, with 46. 5 per cent of them being reprinted, in 1994, almost 50 per cent of them, and in 1995, almost 60 per cent of them were reprinted. It can be said that children's books are widely written and in a variety of forms, and the quality of their publications is constantly improving。

The presentation of the daily people's journal report is rather vague. The national award for outstanding children's books and the total number of prizes awarded to one of the “five one projects” and to the chinese books award do not prove that the quality of children's books has improved, since out of a total of 447 prizes awarded, the number of children's books awarded to two other non-children's books special awards was small, as was the case with only 7 children's books awarded out of 92 awards for the eighth china books award in 1994; compared to 20 awards for a “five one projects” in 1993, only 2 awards for children's books. Secondly, the length of the awards is not specified, and it is not surprising that the 46-year-old children's books were awarded them. It is therefore highly inaccurate to prove such a view。

The report of the beijing youth journal uses the re-reprint rate to prove that the same view is more accurate and that the increasing re-reprint rate is a direct testimony to the view that the quality of children's books has improved in recent years and that the true depth of this view is clearly better than in the previous one。

Unlike academic papers, news stories tell one or two views of the audience in the most concise language and prove them in the most direct facts. The depth of the truth is deepened by factual support, without which or without which the support is weak, and the depth of the truth, while reflecting reality, is significantly diminished。

The view of “the achievements of children's publications” is included in this exhibit and is the subject of this exhibition's content. However, whether and to what extent this conclusion is realistic, the depth of its news authenticity varies depending on the expression。

The news of the chinese youth newspaper says:

At the national level, there has been an initial development of a comprehensive and diverse variety of products, advanced production techniques, an economically powerful children's publications production system and a large distribution market, with significant social and economic benefits。

According to the beijing youth report:

Mr. Kimbo, a well-known children's literary writer, spoke about his impressions of the exhibition of achievements: “children's publishing is growing rapidly. The first is the content, the volume of knowledge and the reflection of children's books in various fields; the second is the fact that the frame is getting better and we can now stand up. Once upon a time, i went to a book fair in germany, and we couldn't stand up to our best winnings." mr. Kim also addressed some of the issues in the children's books, the number of compilations and the small number of creative types, so they were published over time. The children's books were mostly saddle-typed, with many large and low-reading items, and the children's novels were developing rapidly, but fewer books were created for middle-school children, and the age structure was inadequate。

By comparing the two formulations, we find that the former are more general and arbitrary, while the latter are more objective, comprehensive and specific. There is a marked difference in the true depth of the two news articles。

Press was based on facts, and any subjective evaluation should be based on an analysis of the facts, which should be based on a thorough investigation. The reporter of the chinese youth newspaper, while reflecting the reality of the publication of children's books, certainly did not have the same level of appreciation and knowledge as the older writers who worked for decades to create this garden. Thus, the coverage of the beijing youth newspaper is better than that of the chinese youth newspaper in terms of the depth of the news evaluation。
