Impressive leader
Claude monet, 14 november 1840-5 december 1926, french impressionist. He was one of the delegates and founders of impressives and was hailed as “impressive leaders”。

Spring (fruit trees in bloom) 1873
The term “impressives” is derived from his painting the sunrise impression, which was displayed at the first independent exhibition organized by monet and his colleagues in 1874。

In 1874, impressionist explorers used the studio of a photographer to organize a joint exhibition in paris entitled “an exhibition of unknown artists”, also known to later generations as the “first impression exhibition”. Although a sharp critic has taken the irony of the exhibition as an “impressive exhibition” on the basis of monet's impression sunrise, it has not been able to stop the warm echoes of the exhibition, and the word “impression” has since become a proxy for this painting form, and monet has also formed an inseparable link with membrane。
It's a different spring
In monet's work, we can see not only the rejuvenation of everything, but also the traces of changing light in the natural landscape. He's always looking at the view very carefully, so you can see the grass and the wind in his work. In particular, the light in his drawings can give a sense of life from the thinness of the drawings。

Impressors are very concerned about the presence of objects in the sun. This is " spring " , painted by monet, where girls' clothes are white, but white clothes reflect red light in the light of the sun. Monet also paints red for girls' clothes。

This expression of light effects is not only on the clothes of young girls, but also on the grasses at the lower left corner of the picture. Grassland should be green. But at this time, the grass is also red. So, there are also red brushes in the meadow painted by monet。

Monet once said, "when you paint, don't always care what you see, but when you look at the object, the first thing you think about is a little blue, a little square pink, a little yellow. Instead of focusing on the surface of the thing, the painter draws on the effects of the space environment around it, the light, the smoke, the currents, or, under certain conditions, the instant impression that the light is on the scene for the painter.”
Cataracts and special art
The emergence of impressors can be described as a major turning point in the history of western fine arts. Instead of focusing on the eternal side of the object, they focus on recording a moment of beauty in a given space and light。
Monet himself said, “i want to express my impressions before the effects are the easiest to pass.” maybe even monet himself did not think that the colorful world was too short for him。

Owing to long periods of painting under natural light, in 1912 monet suffered from cataracts. He can only distinguish colours with the markings on the pigment tube, which are drawn in close proximity. And as a result, the image of his work became more blurred than before。

By 1923, he had performed cataract surgery, but not very well. The surgical techniques were very immature and the artificial crystals lacked ultraviolet protection. So after the surgery, the world in monay became purple. And that's when monet's painting was filled with purple elements. Despite this, he has not given up his creation and has persisted in using the art of beauty against disease, ageing and war。
