Are you like me when you can't walk when you see the pictures on the internet? I always thought it would be summer if there was one. But as soon as you buy the root of the bed and unpack it, it is estimated that many people will stand still. Can you really make such a beautiful flower out of this stuff
I bought a lotion the other day. The delivery box was opened, the soil on the root was wet and the surface was smooth, and in some places even small mosses were visible. To tell you the truth, at first glance i used to say, "it's so original." but isn't that what plants look like? What we usually see at the flower market is a finished bedline, which is really being raised from the roots, so that we can see what we can expect。
Let's sort out the details of my project today and talk to you about it。
Let's get to know the root of sleeping lotus
Many people think that the root of the bed should be as smooth as potatoes, but not at all. The root of the sleeping lotus belongs to the root, and the surface is actually a mark of the bud and the root. According to the horticultural information, a healthy root of the sleeping lotus should be solid, slightly rough on the surface, with dark or brown colours. Instead, the mud and moss on it indicate that it is fresh and has not been overpurified。

And i looked specifically at the slender touch on the root of the bedline, which is actually a layer of protection slime that reduces soil friction and disease intrusion. So it's nothing to worry about, but it means it's alive。
Pre-plant preparation. These things can't be lost

According to the seller's instructions and my own experience, growing sleeping lotus requires these things:
One large container. Sleeping root systems require space for stretching, preferably using a pottery basin of 30 cm calibre or more and 20 cm depth, or a dedicated sleeping lott. I chose ceramics, air-breathing, and they look good in the yard。

2 pond mud or pond soil. That's the key. The general garden is too light to float to pollute water quality. The ponds are so thick and so rich in machinery that they are well fixed. You can dig by the river if you want to avoid contaminated water。
3 clean water. It would be preferable to dry running water two days in advance and remove residual chlorine. This is easily overlooked by many newcomers, and the direct use of piped water may affect the sounding of sleeping resources。
Cultivating steps: burying roots and injecting hope
As a first step, a pond mud layer is laid at the bottom of the flower basin, approximately 10 centimetres thick. Then put the root of the sleeping lotus softly in it, and keep an eye on the bud. Those little bumps on the root are the buds of the future, not too deep。
The second step was to continue to add pond mud, covering about two thirds of the root height, with only a sprouts of the top. Don't bury the whole root. It takes breath and light to grow。
Step three, slow water injection. This step needs to be patient, slowly pouring water along the pelvis and avoiding the flow of water to wash the soil directly. The first water addition can happen without a root until the soil settles and then fills the basin。

When you're done with this, you'll see the water pouring up a little bit of the twilight, and that feeling of expectation really can't be described. It's like burying a green hope and giving it time。
It's not a problem to do these three things
Sleeping lotus isn't really hard to feed, but there are a few key points to note:

Sleeping lotus is a radiant plant that takes at least four to six hours per day to shoot the sun. Inadequate light can lead to long leaves not blooming. My yard is heading south, right there。
Water level to stabilize. As the leaves grow, they can deepen the water level, but do not allow the leaves to be completely underwater. It would be more appropriate to maintain the general water level at 10-20 cm。
Fertilise with restraint. Sleeping lotus just planted no fertilizer for the next month. When three to four foliages are grown, a special aquatic plant can be used to slow fatten up and squeeze into the mud. Don't use normal compound fats. Easy to burn roots leads to algae outbreaks。

I made a mistake myself: i was so anxious to grow it the first week, i put it to fertilise, and the roots broke half. Then it became clear that there was a slow-growing period after the planting of the sleeping lotus, that the roots had not recovered and that fertilization was a burden。
What if you have a problem
If you find the leaves yellow, check if the light is sufficient and see if it's iron-deficient. A small amount of sequestered iron can be added。

If the water changes to green algae, it means eutrophication of the water body, a reduction in the frequency of application of fertilization, an appropriate change of water, or the eating of algae by one or two tails of fish in the basin。
If only long leaves do not bloom, mostly the light is not enough or the nitrogen is too fat. It can be replaced by high water soluble fattening of phosphorus, which promotes the thawing of flowers。
Waiting for the flowers is a cure
Now that my sleeping lotus has been planted for the next week, a few tiny leaves have appeared on the surface of the water, green and green, and the curls have not yet fully developed. Every morning i look at the leaves, and i see the leaves spread a little bit, and it's hard to describe the movement of life。

Every sip you drink, vote for your body after ten years. Every sleeping lotus you planted is also voting for the summer balcony。

Isn't that the pleasure of growing flowers and growing grass all the time? From an unsuspecting root to a green leaf spreads and blooms in the summer, the whole process reminds us that good things deserve patience。
I don't know if you've ever tried a sleeping lotus or any other aquatic plant? If so, you would be welcome to share your experience in the comment area; if you were still hesitant, you might want to buy a root, and maybe this summer you could harvest your own cool view。
