Under the electric water heater, the water heater is, strictly speaking, under the pipe, with a triangle metal valve. It's called the “discharge valve”, and as an unprofessional user, let's not mess with it. There are, of course, times when the excretion valves have problems, such as leaks, and there is no need to worry。

The excretion valve
The excretion valve, by definition, is used to depress. Then why the pressure? Where is the pressure
It turns out there's water in the electric water heater and there's air. After heating, the volume of the air becomes larger, resulting in increased pressure in the aqueous urchin of the electric water heater。
If you let it go, the pressure will go up and explode

The purpose of the discharge valve is to prevent such danger. You can read as follows: "when the pressure in the water urchin exceeds a certain threshold, the excretion valve automatically starts to vent."。
Don't touch it
What about the threshold of the vent? How do the excretion valves know when they should be released

Look carefully at the excretion valve, on its side, a number, in mpa. This is the threshold of the pressure in the aquarium。
When the pressure in the aqueous urchins exceeds this value, the pressure can lift the small valve above the excretion valve and automatically excrete. There's a screw on the little valve

Some users owe it, find the screw loose, and then tighten it. Don't do this! When the screws are tightened, the valves need to be opened under greater pressure, resulting in pressure not being released in time and thus dangerous。
Besides, there's an arrow on the other side of the vent valve. Head

When installed, the arrow should be in the same direction as the current. The excretion valve is also a stop valve. When running water stops, the water in the water heater is prevented from flowing back into the pipe, resulting in dry burning of the electric water heater。
The current can only flow through the depressure valve to the electric water heater and not from the electric water heater to the pipe。
Leave it alone
How does the excretion valve work? The answer is to spray water out -- you see, there's a little water coming out of the vent valve. Mouth

When pressure is overstretched in the water urchins, the vents of the excretion valves are lifted and water flows out of the vents。
So when we see the excretion valve dripping out, it proves it's draining. It's a normal phenomenon, don't worry about it。
If you feel that dripping affects you, you can do it in three ways:

1. To take a bath and use hot water to drain the air from the electric water heater。
2. Cleaning up the water in the electric water heater, which also swells when it heats up, resulting in increased internal pressure. Cleaning up the mud reduces the pressure inside the urchin。

3. Keep warm, i. E., plugs in electric water heaters for the year. When the water in the water heater is constant and the pressure is fixed, the excretion valve will no longer drip。
Check it regularly
The excretion valve is not a vulnerable item and will not normally be damaged. But an electric water heater can be used for several years, and no one can guarantee 100 per cent of the excretion valve。

Moreover, the depressure valve was damaged without any performance and could easily be ignored. Without wishing to have the tragedy of an explosion, a periodic check should be made. The inspection method is simple:
Lift the small valve above the excretion valve with your hand, see if you can lift it. Normally, the valve is loose enough to lift it easily. And when lifted, the vent of the excretion valve sprays out。

If the valve is not lifted or water is not sprayed, the rate is probably caused by mud. A few more liftings, or the use of tools to clean up the water around the excretion valve, will probably restore normality。
If it doesn't work, we'll have to replace the vent valve. Do you want to look at the numbers above when replacing the depressure valves

The threshold of the new excretion valve needs to be consistent with the old excise valve. After all, each electric water heater can withstand different pressures and be equipped with different depressors. The depressive valve has different thresholds and cannot be mixed。
