Under the electric water heater
If it's over, it's bad! Get somebody to fix it。
That's a hell of a job. It cost me 300 bucks to pay for the job, the door. When the workers left, i thought about it myself
There's a small valve under the electric water heater

This place drops water out, it doesn't have to be repaired, and sometimes it can be solved by one move。
. 01 excretion valve
The water-dropping valve is called the excretion valve. Its role is twofold:
Stop it. Look at the arrow above

Water can only flow in the direction of arrows, and the reverse flow is blocked. Its function is to prevent the flow of water from the electric water heater back into the pipe when the tap water is out, resulting in the dry burning of the electric water heater。
• depression. Look at the little handle on it

Under normal circumstances, the current is not moving against the arrow. However, when the pressure in the electric water heater is too high, the handle is turned on and drains from the small hole next to the valve. This is in order to prevent excessive pressure in electric water heaters, causing an internal urchin explosion。
. 02 excretion valve dripping
If your excretion valve starts dripping out, it proves that the pressure in the electric water heater is beyond the pressure. Then why did you overdo it? Two possibilities:
• it may be that there is too much water in electric water heaters, and that piles of water can affect the internal pressure, which leads to excessive internal pressure. However, this situation is not uncommon because of the need for a certain amount of water. This is often accompanied by very slow heating (one hour of burning water, which now takes two to three hours), high electricity consumption and failure to meet bath needs。
• it is more common to have gas in the pipe that enters the electric water heater. The increase in gas-heated inflation is higher, leading to high internal pressure。

That's why we dropped water this time, and the workers came to replace the pressure valve. But i don't think it's necessary, first of all, it's a normal phenomenon, if it's just a drop of water once in a while, just wait for it to exhaust itself。
If water drops frequently, it can also be dealt with through “mass water”: a bath or a pot of hot water can speed up emptying the gas in the electric water heater。
Do you need to replace the excretion valve
The answer is need, but not the drop。
First of all, we have to consider the question: why is there a small handle on the excretion valve if it's self-release

Because the handle is for our safety tests: every few months, we have to pull the handle manually to see if we can drop water from the outside。
If you don't drop water or you can't do it, it's rusty. The excretion valve at this time loses its function of excretion protection and needs to be replaced as soon as possible。
And when changing the excretion valve:
There is a set of numbers on the excretion valve, which means that "when the internal pressure exceeds this limit, the pressure is automatically released". The limits for different electro-heaters are different, so they cannot be changed blindly. The figures on the new excretion valve must be consistent with the old excise valve。

. 04 avoiding discharge valve dripping
After this incident, i thought, "i don't want to let it do it all the time and dirty my bathroom. However, pipes in the subdistricts are often repaired and cleaned up, and air is common in them. Is there a way for once and for all to keep it from dripping, or to keep it as low as possible
Don't say that. I did find three:
1 with water purification equipment, pre-filtering has some effect, but softers in front of water heaters are better. Water purification equipment also drains the gas from the water during water purification. So the water that flows into the electric water heater doesn't breathe
Two lower set temperatures, like my house, is set at 65°c per year, which should be 55°c. The higher the temperature, the larger the volume of gas inflating, the greater the pressure on internal guts, which makes it easier to drop water. In addition, excessive temperatures are more likely to produce water as well as frequent dismantling。

3 if you have higher water pressure in your house, this is particularly the case for users on lower floors. The water-entry valves can be reduced slightly and properly. You can test yourself: 10-20 seconds full of a 1. 5-l coke bottle。
