According to the circular of the department of natural resources of guangdong province and the department of education of guangdong province on the active organization of the 6th national map knowledge competition and the children's painting championship in “beautiful china” (2024) 1007) requests that, in order to actively carry out the tasks of organizing our city's participation in the competitions, the following information be provided:
I. Basic contents of the competition and the way i organized the city
The main theme of the event was “beautiful china”, and two parts of the national mapping competition and the children's maps competition were organized, the details of which are available on the official website of the event (https://www. Pecmnr. Cn/gjbt/)。
(i) national competition on knowledge of national maps (primary and secondary school groups)
The national competition is divided into two groups of primary and secondary schools, mainly through the network of competition officers and the micro-intelligence public number。

2. Target audience: municipal primary and secondary school students。
3. Competition groups: two groups, primary and secondary。

(ii) children's hand painting maps competition
The department of natural resources at all levels, in conjunction with the local education sector, has launched a children's drawing contest for students in schools and juvenile palaces. As required, the competition is divided into six to eight years old, nine to twelve years old and 13 to 15 years old, with local responsibility for organizing competitions for young children and young people of different age groups. The municipal natural resources bureau and the municipal education bureau organize a preliminary evaluation of the entries made in the contest, which must not be less than five groups per district (district) and no more than 20 groups per school; and no more than three groups per school per municipality。
Target audience: young people under 15 years of age are divided into three age groups: “6-8 years” “9-12 years” and “13-15 years”。
The content of the competition is based on the theme “beautiful china”, the standard map (the scope of which can be city, province, country), the style of which is unlimited, the creation of original, artistic graphics, the absence of copyright disputes over the entries and the use of materials, the exclusion of entries from previous competitions, and the observance of the relevant legal standards。

(iii) submission and selection of works
1. The natural resources authorities of the districts, together with the education department, collects and selects the entries from the districts, which are submitted directly to the municipal direct schools, and submit simultaneously, at the time of submission of all the entries, a list of the works of the children's maps competition (annex 2) and an information table of the works of the children's maps competition (annex 3) which require that they be sent by mail to the natural resources bureau of the city of whezhou by 5 february 2025。

2. Invitation to experts for selection

The natural resources department of huizhou, in conjunction with the municipal education department, organized a selection of experts, and 20 excellent paintings were selected for each age group. Awards and awards

(ii) award for the children's painting of maps competition (primary and secondary school groups)
1. Personal award for excellence: 20 paintings of excellence were selected for each of the three age groups, prizes were awarded for a 300-dollar prize, and awards were awarded。
2. Organizational excellence awards: certificates only and no awards. Twenty organizational awards of excellence were selected from participating schools and organizational units, depending on the number of submissions and the awards received。
3. Teacher of excellence award: certificates only and no prizes. In accordance with the awards received by students under the teacher's guidance, 20 instructors were selected from each group, and certificates were awarded。

In the event of the inability to issue certificates and prizes because of incomplete or inaccurate information about the competition, the responsibility lies with the participants themselves。
Iii. Requests and other matters
(i) high priority, careful organization. The national map competition and the children's hand-drawing contest are powerful players in the dissemination of information on the national map and in raising awareness of the national map for the entire population, which are highly valued by schools in all regions, organized in a serious manner and actively promoted in their own countries。
(ii) enhanced coordination and cooperation for furthering. The authorities responsible for natural resources at all levels and the education sector must strengthen communication, actively collaborate and widely disseminate information on the launching of competitions and the participation of students and young people. At the same time as the children's hand painting maps competition, an active campaign has been launched to promote knowledge of national maps, to guide young people to use them properly and to draw up national maps, and to avoid “problem maps” in their works。
(iii) strengthening controls and regulating competitions. The county (district) and school systems strictly implement the national competition management scheme for primary and secondary school students, which strengthens supervision throughout the process and upholds the public interest. Primary and secondary schools and school students, in accordance with the principle of self-registration and voluntary participation, do not pretend to be impartial and take the initiative to warn that competitions and their results do not form the basis for enrolment in primary and secondary schools。
(iv) an explicit requirement to ensure a time limit.
