On 28 july, at 1116 hours, xinhua xin ning, xinhua, a magnitude 5. 7 earthquake struck xinghai county, hainan tibetan autonomous region, qinghai province (35. 35° n and 99. 57° e), with a depth of 10 km. An earthquake of 5. 8 magnitude was repeated at 1134 hours (35. 35° n and 99. 58° e). At present, the social order in xinghai county city is generally stable。
According to a large data analysis of china's seismic network mobile population, the population at 1116 hours was approximately 49,000 people within a 20-kilometre radius of the earthquake. The average altitude was about 449 km within 5 km of the earthquake, 46 km from shinhai county and 244 km from sining city, capital of qinghai province。
In interviews with journalists, it was reported that there was a clear shock in the cities of sining and lanzhou at the time of the earthquake. Currently, a field team of the qinghai earthquake bureau has travelled to learn about the disaster during the earthquake, and fire services in hainan county and sining city are rapidly regrouping and are on their way to the earthquake, as are emergency and public security services.
