On 7 july, journalists were informed by the municipal land resources agency that the third national fair for knowledge of beautiful chinese maps and the children's painting and mapping competition, organized by the national steering group for the coordination of mapping education and monitoring of map markets (composed of the national agency for mapping and geographic information, the ministry of education, etc.), had been launched. At present, the selection contest for the liuzhou district is under way and interested citizens are invited to participate as soon as possible。
The competition, which is aimed at chinese citizens and chinese overseas in the territory of liuzhou, is about maps, geography, history, landscapes and laws and regulations relating to the national map. The competition is held from 5 september to 25 september。
One or two contestants are selected from each county and the first six are selected by the unified organization of the city land office. The first of them was a contestant and the second was an alternate. If successful in the guangxi competition, there will be an opportunity to represent guangxi in the national competition。
In addition, the guangxi selection competition for the children's maps competition was attended by students from the city as a whole and by young people under the age of 15 from overseas born after 1 january 2002 (age calculation deadline is 31 december 2016). This contest is divided into four age groups, aged 6-8, 9-12 and 13-15。
The work calls for the theme of “beautiful china”, in the form of a map, to express praise and love for a beautiful china, a beautiful home, a vision and a desire for a harmonious world, in the form of hand-drawing; the entries must be the original creations of the contestants, encouraging artistic and creative creativity; and the chinese editions should be drawn in the light of the relevant standard drawings and give full expression to our territory。
Selection: the participating organisations of the city of liuzhou collect and submit outstanding works by 20 july。
The award for outstanding works will be recommended for the guangxi district selection competition. If it wins in the guangxi region, it will be recommended for the national finals, which will give it an opportunity to be recommended for the 28th international cartographic congress, in 2017, for the exhibition of young barbara maps。
