By the end of 2025, there were more than 4,300 new energy taxis in the shijia municipality, accounting for 65 per cent of the total number of cruise taxis, of which only over 3,000 have been upgraded since 2024. In order to effectively benefit the operators, the roving companies have introduced preferential measures such as replacement subsidies, purchase tax subsidies, extension of quality insurance, free maintenance, interest-free loans and the donation of charging stakes, with a maximum subsidy of nearly $20,000 for single cars。
