The throat of the nylon chain
It is understood that nylon66 is widely used in various fields, such as engineering plastics, cars, machinery, electrical parts, industrial silk and civil silk, due to its high intensity, temperature, heat and insulation properties. The industry data show that in 2018 the domestic consumption of nylon 66 was 520,000 tons, of which 270,000 tons were imported, with an external dependency of 36 per cent。
Moreover, due to the production of the key intermediate of nylon 66 — the diazine — and its high technical barriers and investment thresholds, the domestic “diazine-dimethyl-nylon66” industrial chain is highly misaligned, and the distribution of profits in the industrial chain is in the hands of upstream companies abroad。
At present, the world has 1,845,000 tons of capacity, which is concentrated in four enterprises, namely, inweda, olympian, basif (including solvie) and xue. According to a recent published company study of pacific securities, we now have 100 per cent external dependence and demand remains strong, with domestic imports reaching 293,000 tons in 2018, an increase of 7. 7 per cent. According to industry inferences, there is a future shortage of around 165,000 tons of tritium, which can be said to have long been the throat and most vulnerable link of the entire industrial chain。
The reality facing the domestic industry chain is even more embarrassing: high levels of oligopolistic monopolization, severe technology blockades and price-fixing. Breaking the foreign monopoly on diazine technology

As mentioned earlier, the nilon 66 market is promising as the first home-grown diazine-based facility with an autonomous proprietary technology, and once it comes into production, qi xiaoteng will be able to benefit from project investments。

At present, kishang tengda has the world's largest trihydroxide butadiene mono-set with an annual capacity of 150,000 tonnes. Acrylic production capacity of 100,000 tons and actual production capacity of 1276 million tons in 2018 could be supplied as raw materials for the new materials industry base of ziqishu nilon 66. In particular, the chishu tenda proclamation states that “the project is based mainly on acrylic, methanol, liquid ammonia, butadiene, hexadilic acid, hydrogen gas and natural gas, which will help to optimize product structure and installation loads and thus further improve the profitability of companies and market competitiveness”
Moreover, the skylight spectrum project is located in the zirou chemical zone and its extension in the city of zibo, shandong province, and is located in the zirou chemical zone, close to the border, thus providing stable access to raw materials and saving the cost of transporting them。

It is worth noting that the nationalization of diazine technology has been accompanied by the international deployment of diazine giants。
It is understood that in february this year, the inveida and shanghai chemical industries (scip) signed a memorandum of cooperation — the launch of the design plan for a production base of 400,000 tons of diazine, which is expected to invest more than $1 billion — to start construction in 2020 and start production in 2023。
