In the recent days of the red net news service, 20 january, the correspondent tang cing, hunan will witness a large-scale wave of cold, wind and snow. The average temperature will be reduced by 8-12°c and the minimum temperature will be reduced to 4°c. It is expected to have a negative impact on agricultural production throughout the province, particularly on the production of fruit and vegetables in facilities. In an effort to respond effectively to the disastrous winter weather and ensure a steady supply of guacamole and vegetables, the expert of the national industrial technology system for west melon and professor of the hunan university of agriculture, jointly with the service of industry experts of the changde city institute of agroforestry, conducted a mission to provide technical guidance for the production of facilities in the pre-circumber production sheds of the western melon plant, which is located in the capital city of changshan and the small ferry town. The experts noted the following response recommendations for the information of farmers。

Pre-emptive preparedness. Close attention is paid to weather forecasting, pre-positioning emergency supplies such as snow removal tools, coolers, heat and temperature differentials, and membranes; timely overhauling and strengthening of the shed structure to enhance multilayer coverage to protect the temperature against freezing of guacamole seedlings; and timely marketing of mature vegetables to reduce losses。

Actively responding to rain and snow. The timely cleaning of shed areas following snowfall can accelerate snow melting by elevating snow agents or salt to prevent the collapse of sheds due to snow pressure; if snow from roofing cannot be removed in a timely manner and there is a risk of collapse, an emergency measure should be taken to “defilm shelter”。

Strengthening field management in post-disaster situations. After the weather has improved, the damaged facilities are repaired, reinforced or dismantled in a timely manner, subject to ensuring safety; light, timely ventilation should be increased as soon as possible for less damaged shed crops, and the application of thamatene and potassium phosphate on the leaves to facilitate the resumption of growth; and wide spectrum microcicides such as methyl tobuzin, doblin and bacillus are administered to prevent disease。
