Journalists have been informed by zhejiang university that in 2026 the university continued to pilot the reform of admission to basic disciplines (hereinafter referred to as the strong foundation plan) and to select a group of “inspiring, interested and gifted” young students who are interested in serving the country's vital strategic needs, with a strong foundation for specialized training and the provision of backup to key strategic areas of the country。
This year, zhejiang's admissions have included mathematics and applied mathematics, physics, engineering mechanics, chemistry, bioengineering, basic medicine, chinese literature, history, philosophy, etc. As of today, candidates can register on the platform of the zhejiang university's strongy plan。

Enrolment and conditions
High school graduates who wish to serve the country's major strategic needs are eligible for admission to the national uniform examination for admission to general higher schools in 2026. The applicants fall into the following two categories:
Category i: candidates with high overall qualifications and high academic performance
Second category: candidates with outstanding potential and performance in the relevant fields of study are required to receive a second and above national final prize in the national olympic competition for secondary school students in either mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics。

Registration modalities and selection procedures
(i) timing and modalities of registration
From 13 april to 17:00, the candidates entered the zhejiang university's master plan registration platform and completed the online registration in an accurate and complete manner, as required by the registration system。
From 13 april to 17:00, the second category of candidates entered the platform of the zhejiang university's strong-based programme to complete online registration accurately and completely, as required by the registration system. The school will review the second category of candidates on the basis of their specialties and the results are expected to be issued to the second category on 28 april. Approving passers-off eligibility is granted, and failing clearances are allowed to re-register under category i candidates or to cancel their registration under the zhejiang university strong foundation by 17:00 on 30 april。
Each candidate is limited to one intake group and up to four specializations. Candidates for the grand zhejiang programme are not allowed to report to other higher education institutions。
(ii) candidates are required to take the national uniform examination for admission to general higher education in 2026。
(iii) school examination
1. The examination confirms that the candidates who have passed the examination are required to enter the zhejiang university platform for the registration of the zhejiang plan within the specified time frame (31 may-11 june at 12 noon) for an examination confirmation and to sign and upload the certificate of commitment for the examination of integrity. Candidates who have not completed the examination confirmation within the prescribed time period will be deemed to have voluntarily abandoned the selection for the school foundation plan and will not be included in the subsequent selection process。
2. The first category of candidates who have completed the examination confirmation before the first examination is passed after the first examination in the form of a written examination, as detailed in the updated bulletin of the undergraduate intake network of the subsequent school. The written subjects are mathematics and physics in groups i and ii, mathematics and chemistry in groups iii, iv and v and language and history in group vi。
For the first category of candidates, the school will determine the list of candidates for the prefectures on the basis of the results of the written examination, five times the number of provincial intake plans for the intake groups, and publish the criteria for admission to the prefectures, all of whom will be included on the same basis as the end of the professional group. Candidates who are not shortlisted do not participate in the follow-up selection process and in the overall achievement ranking. Candidates can check the results of the written examination and their entry within the registration system。
The second category of candidates who have been cleared is subject to direct re-testing and does not constitute a quota for the first category。
3. Retest: all shortlisted candidates participate in a single process, including interviews and physical education tests. (i) interviews: prior to the presentation of a post-secondary examination, candidates who enter the round-up test are required to attend an interview organized by the school. Details are provided in the updated bulletin of the undergraduate enrolment network of the follow-up school. Interviews focused on students ' idealistic beliefs and home situations, subject potential and scientific aspirations, curiosity and quest, problem awareness and questioning spirit, mental ability and potential for innovation. Comprehensive quality files of candidates provided by the provincial education administration will serve as important reference material for expert interviews. The interviews were conducted by “three random” drawing of lots by experts, candidates and candidates and recorded throughout the process。
(2) sports testing: candidates who enter the round test are required to take a sports test. Sports testing programmes include height/weight (bmi), lung activity, steady jump, and front-sitting. The physical education test results are used only as a basis for ranking at admission. If a candidate is physically unable to take a sports test, he or she must submit a written application for a sports test exemption, which can be avoided by the person who approved the exemption. Adjustments to the recruitment process in the event of force majeure will be notified。
(iv) admission
1. The results of the examination examination (without any policy points added) are subject to the corresponding minimum intake control score for the special type of educational administration or admission examination body of the province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the central government) in which the candidate is present (in the non-senior reform province, which is based on a series of entry control points for the same subject)。
2. The combined results of the comprehensive approach to the commutation of accomplishments consist of those of the advanced examination (85 per cent) and the school examination (15 per cent)。
Group i, group ii: combined scores (full score of 1,000) = (higher scores + high scores *0. 5)/ (higher scores + high scores *0. 5) * 850 (rounded by two decimal places) + school examinations (converted by 150 full scores, rounded by two decimal places)
Group iii, group iv, group v, group vi: combined accomplishments (full score of 1,000) = full achievement in the upper examination * 850 (rounded by two decimal places) + school results (converted to full score of 150 and rounded by two decimal places)。
For the first group of candidates, a full score of 150 is converted from a written examination and an interview at 2:1. For the second category of candidates, the test results are the repeat results, calculated with a full score of 150。
3. For candidates to enter the comprehensive performance order, the admission list is established for the entire school examination。
For the first category of candidates, the list of candidates to be admitted to the scheme is based on a high-to-low ranking of the candidates' overall results, according to the "score, parallel volunteer" placement rule, according to which the candidates complete their plans for voluntary and active recruitment in the relevant provinces. The same-segregation rule: ranking in the order of achievement of the school examination, the written examination in the school, the advanced examination, the advanced language, the advanced mathematics, the advanced foreign language, and the physical education test。
For the second category of candidates, the combined scores reached the lowest entry score for the first category of candidates (physical and chemical) in the province in which they were admitted, using the single-line scheme。
The list of candidates for admission to the programme is validated by the school and reviewed and accepted by the provincial entrance examination bodies. Duly admitted candidates are no longer volunteering in their province (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) for the subsequent post-secondary examination; non-academic candidates are eligible for the subsequent series of post-secondary examinations in their province (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government)。

Development of identity
The integration of the students of the zhang ki programme into the zhang kei academy is a special training programme designed to strengthen mission-driven and plough the family and foster vision. The scope of this course of specialization can be found in the professional training programmes for students enrolled in the stronger base schemes, with the specific transposition being based on the relevant work programme of the school for the year in question。

Other notes
(i) the master plan does not, in principle, transfer to a profession upon admission to the institute。
(ii) the comprehensive quality of students files are uploaded to the registration system by the provincial education administration, either directly or by combining the comprehensive quality files of secondary school students。
(iii) candidates whose comprehensive quality files are faked or fraudulently tested in higher education institutions will be disqualified from registration, examination and admission to their foundation programmes and will be informed about the relevant provincial intake examination bodies or the education administration. The education administration will be dealt with accordingly in accordance with the relevant provisions. In cases where they have been enrolled, they are cancelled in accordance with the relevant regulations of the ministry of education and my school, and when they are discovered after graduation, they are cancelled. Secondary schools should carefully verify the materials produced and reserve the right to take the relevant measures in case of falsification。
(iv) an individual's “personal accident insurance policy” for the duration of the test must be purchased for candidates who have taken part in the re-testing of the mastery scheme。
(v) during the selection test, the examiner is covered at the cost of transportation, accommodation, etc。
(vi) schools do not commission any individual or intermediary organization to work on admission to examinations such as the strong foundation programme and do not organize any form of training for profit。

Oversight safeguards
