Many people are believed to have experienced home-based web problems: a normal broadband suite in their homes, a full range of router signals, and a lack of broken wires, and an unstable internet access. Short video clips are frequent in carden, game break-ups are sudden, office online sessions are broken down, and they resume over and over again in dozens of seconds。

I have also been mired in this distress during the previous period, with intermittent family networks, which have seriously affected day-to-day homework and online learning for children. Today, i combine my own personal experience of mapping, sharing the causes of network failure caused by power lines, the full range of screening methods and daily maintenance techniques, with easy-to-understand white language, so that ordinary people can solve the problem of family network instability once and for all。
I. Subversive perception: router lights do not mean power is normal
In most people's inherent perception, as long as the router light is on, it means that there is no problem with the power supply, and network failure must be caused by equipment or broadband. In fact, it's a very common area of cognitive error, and it's a central reason why many people can't fix their networks。
Routers are high-precision low-voltage low-voltage electrical devices, which require extremely high voltage, current stability and current purity, unlike refrigerators and televisions. Electricity can withstand small voltage fluctuations and is not affected by normal operation, but signals chips, data processing modules inside the router can cause data transmission anomalies as long as there are minor fluctuations in the power supply and current waves。
Most crucially, when electricity is inadequate and the voltage is unstable, the router power lights can still be activated normally, and ordinary people can see no anomaly at all. This hidden power failure does not allow routers to be completely shut down. It only results in intermittent grid break-ups, net-jumping, loss of data packages, full signals and the most difficult type of network failure to check。
This is the case of the malfunctions that i have experienced: the router lights on a 24-hour basis, the wifi signal is always full, the network appears to be on hold, and when video, file downloads, multi-equipment is also connected, equipment is running out of power, and power is not up to speed。
This is due to the low operational capacity of routers, which can be barely supported by poor quality power and old wires; however, when multi-equipment connections are connected and high loads are running, the power required for the equipment is significantly increased, failure to keep up with the power supply triggers automatic protection of routers, short-term rebooting of the connection and subsequent disruption of the network。
Ii. Common element i: the power adaptor is not compatible and is a heavily affected area with a hidden grid
Many family routers were originally equipped with power adapters, which were damaged by moving homes, loss of cash and ageing. In order to facilitate this, everyone will be able to find their home empty roof boxes, barecats, and small appliance adapters, which are the main reasons for the instability of the home network。
Each router has precise power supply parameters at the base of its fuselage, the core of which is the two values of voltage and current, with the main specifications of the common dual frequency router for household use being 12v1a, 12v1. 5a and 9v0. 6a. In accordance with the general standards for network equipment, the voltage must be fully consistent, the current may be greater than the original parameter and must never be smaller than the original parameter。
A simple example is a router that is originally equipped with 12v1. 5a, 12v2a adapters, with more stable power supply and greater load capacity; however, adapters of 12v0. 5a, 9v specifications cannot be used. Disconnection of the voltage will lead to the lowering of the frequency of the router chip, with insufficient signal power and reduced coverage; and small currents will result in a high load power gap, which will directly trigger frequent grid break-ups and automatic restarts。
This is a typical case of my home, where i temporarily replaced an idle 12v0. 5a adaptor after the original 12v1a router power was damaged. The day-to-day single-phone web page can be used regularly and once mobile phones, televisions and computers are connected to each other, the network will be cut off from each other and the root causes of the problem will be checked for a long time。
In addition, the market's low-cost, non-branded, non-parametrically marked tri-adaptor is also a high source of network failure. The internal circuits of these products are poorly constructed, there is a lack of smooth-pressure filter components, and the output stream is highly volatile. Even if the parameters are consistent with the original configuration, the actual power supply is of extremely poor quality and its long-term use not only results in frequent grid breaks, but also accelerates the ageing of the router main plate and reduces the useful life of the equipment。
Common b: aging and breakdown of power lines, causing intermittentity due to poor exposure break network
The router power lines, which are constantly placed at the bottom of the table and in the corner of the wall, are shielded, squeezed and bended by miscellaneous items, and are the most used and least valued threads in the home. After long-term use, the power lines are exposed to hard-to-read internal damage and become a danger of network instability。
Common domestic power lines have a useful life of three to five years, with long-term convulsions, table and chair crushes, dust-tide erosion, slow break-ups, oxidation and poor exposures in the inside of the wire. The external rubber sheet appears intact and the internal lines have been broken。
The features of this failure are clear and well-defined: network failure is not regular, is sometimes normal throughout the day and is sometimes cut off several times an hour. Light-twirling power lines, bending the middle of the wire, moving router positions, the network state will change in an instantaneous manner, and the cartons, offlines will be randomly triggered。
Many of them have experienced this situation and will only repeat the routers over and over again to cure the symptoms. Poor access to internal conduits leads to intermittent power supply, with routers frequently in a state of instantaneous power outages and restarts, intuitively showing intermittent break-ups。
There are also a number of household habits that entangle power lines in groups and close their collections, which can exacerbate the internal wear and tear of the lines, generate electrical current interference and increase the probability of unstable power supply. In particular, older subdivisions and humid household types, water vapours penetrate the inside of wires from power interfaces to accelerate metal contact oxidation, resulting in poor electrical access。
If the home router is found to be in fixed position, with long-term bending of the line, with more than three years of service, and the network is frequently and unprovoked, priority will be given to replacing completely new power lines, the rate may be a direct problem。
Iv. Common element three: disruption of the power supply environment, voltage fluctuations due to overloading
With the exception of power lines and adapters themselves, many households ignore the impact of the overall electricity environment on routers. The ageing of plugs, the sharing of electrical power, and the looseness of plugs can indirectly result in unstable power supply from routers and network failure。
First is the issue of overloading. Most households will have all their routers, light cats, televisions, roof boxes, mobile chargers, etc., placed in the same slot, and some families will also have associated lights, fans, etc. Overloading of plugs will destabilize the output of voltage, with slight voltage fluctuations, which will have no effect on electricity for all, but will be sufficient to cause data transmission malfunctions in precise routers。
Next is the danger of old plugs. Injection with a useful life of more than five years, internal metal shrapnel is oxidized, loose, plug-in is not holding enough strength, and router power plugs are plugged up and then defunct. The day-to-day slight shaking of the desktop and touching of the wires can result in brief power outages。
The easiest to ignore is high power electrical interference. Router plugs, if they are shared with large power appliances such as electric kettles, heaters, electromagnetic furnaces and refrigerators, can produce voltage relief and current interference in the instantaneous start-up of electrical appliances, which directly affect the same route router, resulting in instant-breaking grids and grid-speed cartons。
When i ran out of work, i found that home routers and heaters shared an inlet, and when heaters were opened in winter, the frequency of network break-off would increase significantly, and once separate stand-alone outlets were used, the stability of the network would increase dramatically。
Five, three-step rapid self-checking, precise targeting of power type network failure
Without a professional tool, the average person spends three minutes making it possible to determine with precision whether the break-up of the home grid is caused by power supply from the power lines, and the steps are simple and highly accurate。
First step, observe the router signal state. When the power supply is normally and steadily stabilized, the power lights are often lit without blinking.
