The commission's monitoring shows that the consumer prices of our city's inhabitants are generally stable and that there are now well-organized and well-stocked supply channels for commodities such as food oil, meat and eggs, and vegetables in major supermarkets. This week, our city's food oils remained stable, meat prices continued to fall, white chicken prices rose slightly, eggs prices declined slightly, and the average prices for 17 types of vegetables were $2. 44 (500 g city-wide average, same as the previous week), down 4. 31 per cent from the same period last week。
First, the supply of food and oil commodities is adequate and prices remain generally stable。
It was monitored that the main sales charge for small packaging markets in supermarkets was $2. 32, $3. 67 on the hang, and $159. 79 per barrel for five litres of peanut oil in rouettes, at a price that was at the same time last week。
The price of pork has continued to fall, the price of white chicken has risen slightly and the price of eggs has fallen slightly。
Pig meat: skin meat in the third week of august, $15. 79/500, five flowers in the amount of $16. 18/500, post-bone leg meat in the amount of $14. 04, a decrease of 2. 53 per cent, 1. 7 per cent and 2. 30 per cent, respectively, over the same period last week。
Eggs: as a result of the supply-demand relationship in the market, in the third week of august our municipal white chickens increased by 1. 80 per cent compared to the same period last week; eggs priced $5. 11/500 and prices decreased by 4. 13 per cent compared to the same period last week。
Third, vegetable prices have continued to decline slightly。
The average price of 17 types of vegetables monitored was $2. 44, a decrease of 4. 31 per cent compared with the average price of the previous week and an overall “7 litres 3 pg 7” trend. The three largest increases in the prices of vegetables were for potatoes, cabbage and tomatoes, 1. 52, 1. 31 and 2. 85 dollars per 500 grams, respectively, and 10. 95 per cent, 4. 8 per cent and 3. 64 per cent, respectively, compared with the same period last week; the three largest decreases in the prices of vegetables were for cucumbers, eggplants and oils, 1. 63, 2. 03 and 1. 92 per 500 grams, respectively, and 24. 88 per cent, 19. 76 per cent and 18. 30 per cent, respectively, compared with the same period last week; and the white carrots, 1. 05, garlic, 4. 22 and ginger, respectively, were flat compared with the same period last week. The main reason for the continued small decline in vegetable prices in our city this week is the increased availability of the market, which has been characterized by a cooler weather after the fall。
