Today's gallery, china's first private, non-business, pro bono gallery, was created by mr. Zhang bao-chun in 2002 and its first director. Since then, the curatorships have been mr. Zhang zukang, ms. Xie su-jin and mr. Gao peng. In march 2020, ms. Zhang zhang was the curator. Today's gallery is dedicated to actively participating in and contributing to the advancement and development of contemporary chinese art, with its modern vision, its internationalization platform and its normative operation, seeking to explore a path for the survival and development of the chinese national gallery. Today's galleries have established the concept of “today, look to the future”, aiming at the creation of a high-quality contemporary gallery in china and the world, with a focus on contemporary chinese art, contemporary art genres and their key figures, with greater emphasis on the discovery and development of young artists with potential. Whether it is the construction of a museum itself or its academic practice, the aim is to give greater attention to the overall development of contemporary chinese art, with a view to gaining a place in china's history of artistic development. At the same time, today's galleries focus on cultural and artistic exchanges with international partners, creating mechanisms for joint development through exhibitions, academic exchanges, and other forms. They seek effective opportunities for joint development. They spare no effort to promote healthy interaction between artists, artistic institutions and artistic activities in china and abroad. They are committed to pursuing the greatest possibilities for the evolution of contemporary chinese artistic development in the context of globalization. In july 2006, it was successfully transformed into a truly non-profit institution. Today's gallery actively explores the path of sustainable development of the chinese national gallery and attempts to establish a well-structured and systematic system of art galleries. In a pragmatic and operational manner, a stable financing mechanism and academic system have evolved. Our mission: to advance contemporary chinese art. Today, not only this time, but also the past and the future. We understand art today, we achieve and assume art today, we share art today. The museum of fine arts is built today at its main gallery and is designed and modified by a well-known architect, wang ji. The 1,400 m2 community of apples on the 100-chard bay road, located in the cbd centre of the zhongyang district of beijing city, is a front-runner and agglomerate, with the resonance of the ancient industrial era with contemporary ideas giving it unique aesthetic qualities. The interior display covers a total area of 2,500 square metres, with the main site being a five-storey medium-top steel beam building of 40 metres long, 32 metres wide, 30 metres high and a two-storey main exhibition area of 1,000 square metres tall and 13. 5 metres tall. In addition to the excellent display of paintings on the larger shelf in general, it is particularly suitable for larger contemporary devices, sculpture displays and exhibitions, and the artistic effects of different forms of artistic displays, such as visual art, acoustic art (new music), will be presented more fully in this space. The permanent outdoor installation “seeing the exhibition” on the top floor of the gallery added a new contemporary breath to the gallery building. “looking at the exhibition” is a work dedicated to the gallery by artists wang jianwei and wang qian, according to their architectural characteristics, functions and surroundings。
