The competition was approved by the ministry of education and was included in the list of national competitions for pupils and students in the 2022-2025 school year. The national youth anti-drug competition of 2024, aimed at young people and young people in general, from the fifth grade to the second grade of high school, and at students in the first and second grades of secondary vocational schools, was carried out in close coordination with the “five ones” of the national drug prevention education programme for schoolchildren, which was launched in autumn 2024 by the national office for drugs and crime and the ministry of education. The competition took place in two stages, the first from 20 september to 13 october, with more than 91. 22 million young students throughout the country voluntarily and actively participating in various forms of drug literacy and the first round of counter-narcotics questions, and an overall increase in drug awareness and capacity。
The head of the national office for drugs and crime said that the organization of the national youth anti-drug knowledge competition in 2024 had succeeded in implementing a broad and comprehensive anti-drug literacy programme for primary school students throughout the country. The anti-drug authorities at all levels will use this competition as an opportunity to continuously improve the dissemination, radioactivity and coverage of drug prevention education for young people throughout the country, to continue to motivate young people to learn about drug control and to create a “healthy life, green and free” atmosphere throughout society。
