As one of the “three foods” in hainan, the guacamole is the main plant for the sanya winter season and one of the main sources of income for farmers. In recent days, more than 50 bean growers from the cliff region have participated in the training of highly qualified farmers in sanya city。
During this winter spring season, it is known that sanya is planning to plant 65,000 acres of beans (including complex seeds) or about 40 per cent of the area planned for winter spring 2023-2024. The five-day training, using the “classrooms + fields” model, was conducted in an innovative and flexible form, focusing not only on theoretical teaching but also on practical application. There is theoretical knowledge of the sub-seanan anti-season vegetable market analysis, the key elements of high-yield bean production techniques, pesticide reduction techniques, common pests and pest control, as well as field training in the techniques of soybeans protection nets, high-yielding water-saving fertilizers, improved stretcher-planting, high-yielding plant cultivation。
In the course of the training, technicians taught techniques for the management of soybeans cultivation in accessible languages, conducted on-site questioning and advice on planting, distributed a list of pesticides frequently detected by soybeans and a national list of banned pesticides to growers, raised the quality safety awareness and level of cultivation among growers and buyers, and laid a solid foundation for future monitoring of the quality of agricultural products。
A presentation was made by the heads of the municipal agricultural and rural directorates, in which the training of highly qualified farmers focused on practical skills development. The training was based on theoretical links to improve the knowledge and understanding of bean farmers about the safety of their bean quality, enhance their cultivation skills and production levels, guide them in the scientific use of seeds and medicines, and develop a collection of bean for sanya. The soya growers have been able to further upgrade their production skills and entrepreneurial capabilities, become new types of “farm-friendly, skilled and well-run” professional farmers, providing talent and technical security for the revitalization of sanya countryside。
