There are 523,000 junior secondary schools in the country. There are 1. 5463 million students enrolled at the national lower secondary level, an increase of 23. 25 million, or 13. 4 per cent, over the previous year, and 52. 4369 million, or 1. 231 million, or 2. 4 per cent, over the previous year。
There are 4. 0831 million full-time teachers in lower secondary education, an increase of 5. 7. 9 million over the previous year; 99. 96 per cent of full-time teachers, an increase of 0. 02 percentage points over the previous year; and 93. 09 per cent of full-time teachers, an increase of 1. 38 percentage points over the previous year。
There are 815 million square metres of secondary schools nationwide, an increase of 287,749 million square metres over the previous year. The percentage of schools equipped with facilities at the lower secondary level in the country is 95. 94 per cent of sports stadiums, 98. 16 per cent of sports equipment, 97. 93 per cent of musical equipment, 97. 95 per cent of fine arts equipment and 97. 68 per cent of scientific experiments. With the exception of scientific experimental instruments, the remaining ratios are higher than in the previous year。
