The library of the institute of information and communication is an academic institution that provides scientific and research services for its teaching. The library, located on the negative first floor of the press and communications institute, covers an area of nearly 1,000 square metres and is organized in two major regions, north and south: the south region for newspaper reading, and the north region for book lending and production, with 56 reading seats. It is staffed by three professionals (1 senior and 2 middle)。
The college library, which has a collection of literature on journalism and communication disciplines, is supported by literature on related cross-cutting subjects. It has over 50,000 books in chinese and foreign literature. Since 1983, it has collected over 2,000 original books in foreign languages, such as press and communications, purchased with special funding from the ministry of education; over 240 chinese newspapers and 29 foreign newspapers are currently ordered; over 1,000 master's and doctoral thesis collections of the academy; and over 500 web and cd-rom databases are shared with the school library。
The operating management system of the room is consistent with that of the school library. The collections are organized in accordance with the central chart act and are managed by the school library's aleph system, which is used for loan purposes. Readers can access the library's bibliographic information system (opac) through our library branch to the collections in my library。
The library is open to all readers in and out of the school, but external loans are limited to teachers and students。
