In january, the price of fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, eggs, educational culture and entertainment, other goods and services increased significantly, as did the price of health care, which increased significantly over the same period by a combination of factors, with the cpi increasing by 0. 1 per cent. In february, as the impact of spring-time factors weakened, consumption demand fell seasonally and the cpi fell in comparison. From april to may, the price of gold and ornamentals rose in comparison to the same year, as a result of international price fluctuations; fresh vegetables benefited from favourable weather conditions during the season, with increased production, sufficient market supplies and declining prices, while petrol and diesel prices declined significantly from year to year, with the cpi showing a downward trend in comparison with other factors. By june, prices for fresh vegetables, recreational and durable consumer goods and other goods and services had risen by the same token, reversing the downward trend in the year-end index and 0. 1 per cent for the cpi。
In the first half of the year, the prices of non-food items in anyang city fell by 0. 1 per cent and those of industrial goods by 0. 3 per cent.
