This is a major adjustment in the treatment of maternity costs, including prenatal check-ups, hospital deliveries and family planning procedures. The maternity insurance system was established in beijing in 2005, and all enterprises and institutions are now covered by maternity insurance。

    The payment rate for prenatal check-ups was raised from $1,400 to $3,000 per person。

    Payment criteria for prenatal check-ups:

    The cost of prenatal check-ups from pregnancy determination to termination is paid at a maximum of $3,000. The lower limit is paid on the basis of actual expenses incurred, above the limit, and on the basis of the limit。
