In july 2022, in response to international scientific and technological trends and future strategies for the development of science and technology, taiwan transformed the ministry of science and technology from a vertical executive to a horizontally coordinated one, creating a new national council for science and technology, which, in addition to its original operations, will link upward and downstream technological development and industrial applications, focus on the island's internal strategic layout, and act as a cross-regional and inter-ministerial coordination, centralize responsibility for science and technology development matters, and allocate appropriate funds for science and technology, optimize efficiency and ensure effective policy implementation. With the advent of the age of 5g and the internet, digital science and technology are significantly transforming industrial ecology and people's lives. In august 2022, taiwan established a digital development ministry that will integrate the five major areas of telecommunications, information, financial security, networking and communication, integrate infrastructure, environmental preparedness, resource use, etc., and expand some of its forward-looking tasks。
