Ministry of educationA joint inter-ministerial meeting was held on 21 december with members of the joint inter-ministerial meeting on the integrated national examination in education, to ensure the safety of the 2026 national entrance examinations for general higher education institutions, to ensure strict process management of the test papers, to strengthen the security of the hearing examinations, to prevent the use of high-tech fraud and to carry forward the relevant reforms smoothly。
It was suggested that the correct orientation of high examinations should be firmly adhered to, and that intellectual education and value orientation should be further strengthened in terms of subject principles, content, etc.; that the equity threshold for high examinations should be firmly understood, equitable integration into all aspects of the recruitment process for advanced examinations should be strengthened, pre-positioning of resources should be strengthened and privileges should be protected against erosion of educational equity; and that the selection criteria for high examinations should be firmly adhered to, with a focus on technological development, the need for innovative national strategies and methods of selection, which would effectively guide higher education institutions in adjusting the specialization of disciplines, enriching the specialization of disciplines and leading to the development of all scientific and technological personnel。
The meeting called for comprehensive vetting and re-engineering of risk and vulnerability points and weaknesses in the recruitment process, strengthening of ex-ante and ex-post controls, continuous awareness-raising campaigns on recruitment, effective reversal of the trend towards utilitarianization and short-sightedness; strengthening of integrated services in the areas of security, travel, accommodation, hygiene and disease prevention; strengthening of voluntary reporting to guide public services; and the creation of a good public opinion environment in the “kalcau season”。
