Mac can use iphone or ipad when they're in contact with each otherIt's personalAccess to the internet。
Before trying to connect, make sure that ios equipment or ipados device opens a person's hot spot (on the device go to setup > personal hotspot to check)。

Connect with wi-fi
Ensures the same apple id login on mac and ios or ipados devices。
On mac, click the wi-fi status icon in the menubar
And then pick your iphone or ipad。
When accessing individual hot spots on iphone or ipad, you can use the wi-fi status menu to check the battery state of the device and the intensity of its cellular network signal。
When the hot spots are not used, the equipment will automatically disconnect to increase the battery's re-carrying capacity。
Connect with usb
Use the usb cable attached to the device to connect iphone or ipad to your mac。
If the hint on iphone or ipad indicates "do you want to trust this computer? " , lower "trust."。
View usb connectivity and settings
On mac, pick the apple menu
