Research and analysis of national cement prices
(i) overall cement prices
In december 2025, hyeweb investigated 66 cement suppliers throughout the country, with a total of 125 samples of prices, and a slight drop in the prices of p. O. 42. 5 and p. S. 32. 5. The current average price of p. O42. 5 cement is 347 yuan/tonne, a 1. 1 per cent decrease in the ring ratio, and p. S32. 5 yuan/tonne, a 0. 7 per cent decrease in the ring price。
In 2025, both cement prices showed a “high and low run-down shock” pattern, with p. O. 42. 5 prices above p. S. 32. 5 and the year-round price point in may, with an annual decline of over 17 per cent。
(ii) sub-regional prices of cement
Following the opening of high cement prices at the beginning of the year in the five regions of p. O. 42. 5 and the subsequent downward pressure and low-lying phase, south and central china fell significantly throughout the year, and east china experienced moderate price volatility. In terms of seasonal support, the “golder four” has been somewhat supported, with weak demand for real estate and infrastructure starting in the second quarter, price reversals and a steady fall in cement prices in most areas after september, but with a smaller rebound, a small shock in the price of cement at four quarters, and insufficient momentum for market demand recovery。
Data for december 2025 show that the average p. O42. 5 cement price in most major cities in north and central china is below the national average. The difference in the price of cement between the major cities in east china is large, with a maximum price difference of $120 per ton. From the main cities, the average price of cement at the sea mouth, shanghai and chengdu p. O42. 5 is at the top of the country, with the average price at the sea mouth being $442 per ton; the average price at wuhan is the lowest at the national level, currently 276 per ton。
The movement of p. S. 32. 5 cement in the five regions in 2025 was similar to that of p. O. 42. 5 cement, showing a pattern of weak rebound after a general decline. In the subregion, the price of p. S. 32. 5 in south china is generally high, prices in the west china region are more volatile, prices in central china are generally medium and low, and demand pressures are evident. Low investment in real estate development throughout the year has strained construction needs, and while capital investment provides partial support, it is difficult to reverse the downward trend and the aggregate demand for cement shrinks。
Data from december 2025 show that the average p. S32. 5 cement price in most major cities in north and east china is below the national average; the price of cement in the major cities in south china is much higher, with a maximum price difference of $154 per ton. From the main cities, the average price of cement at the sea mouth, gate and chengdu p. S. 32. 5 is at the top of the country, with an average price of $429/t; the average price at qingdao is the lowest at 213/t。
