The international academy of journalism and communication has an international and cross-cultural character, dating back to 1981 when the english faculty of beijing foreign studies explored journalism. The academy is based on the concept of “communication of the world through connectivity and beyond” and has developed the complex, composite and media-wide international communication strategy that is so much needed in today's society. Graduates work in media, government departments, transnational corporations, journalists, editors, public relations, advertising, management, etc., and become messengers of intercultural communication. The master's degree programme, which is taught in all english, combines the theory and practice of chinese thought, chinese culture and global and intercultural communication. At the same time, chinese language courses have been introduced into the curriculum to enable students to gain a better understanding of chinese culture and china's general situation, thus gaining advantage in seeking internships and employment opportunities。
Bilingual teaching project in central and english
