On 3 may 2003, the central television news channel (known as the news channel) was launched on a test basis and the chinese weekly magazine was broadcast on saturday, 21. 15 per week. On 1 march 2005, the china weekly magazine was moved to its first broadcast at 22:15 a week, in conjunction with a re-version of the news channel ong. On 6 january 2007, the official name was changed to newsweek. On 29 march 2008, in conjunction with the re-printing of news channel, newsweek was restored to 22:15. On 22 august 2009, the newsweek section was replaced with a single header, with boxes and background sheets, as a result of a re-version of the news channel. On 14 august 2010, the 2010 re-enactment of the header and packaging was launched; on 18 december, the newsweek was de-subtitled. Effective 9 july 2011, newsweek was re-recorded in the virtual video area of the 150 studio. Since the end of june 2019, the newsweek and other sections of the press review department have been managed by the central radio and television general news program centre; on 19 october, the newsweek was changed to 16:9 headlines, with no change in tails; and on 7 december, the column was changed from a sit-in to a broadcast. On 10 august 2024, newsweek launched a special programme, " the olympics of iwapine " . On 20 september 2025, newsweek replaced the executive summary。
Newsweek sets up a news review, this week's point of view, a character review, this week's character, and this week's five panels. It aims to be an idealistic, responsible and dignified news magazine capable of recording history. Introduction

Since 6 january 2007, china weekly has been renamed newsweek。
