The “continuous dewetization” model must exist. The basement is usually unpopular and does not require a specific humidity value, which requires “a constant and constant pumping”. Most dehumidifiers have a “continuous dewetization” pattern — no target humidity, and compressors remain operational until the tanks are full. This model is particularly useful for basements。
