In recent years, with the overall progress of our society, particularly the rapid development of journalism, news coverage has become more frequent, the number of news producers has increased and the media involved in press interviews have expanded. The rapid development of media and press coverage has been accompanied by problems that cannot be ignored: on the one hand, the failure of individual government departments to comply seriously with the obligation to make public information available to the public, and serious problems such as the denial of access to the press and journalists by some corporate and social organizations in order to circumvent public opinion, as well as the abuse of journalists, violate the right of the press to interview and the right of the public to be informed; on the other hand, the deliberate fabrication of false news for undue gain by a few journalists, while some social workers acting in the name of a journalist are seriously damaging the professional image of the press. With a view to further guaranteeing the right of press agencies and journalists to conduct interviews in accordance with the law, to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of press agencies, producers and journalists, to regulate the press interview order and to combat the illegal activities of false journalists, the following information is provided on the subject:
1. The legitimate rights and interests of the press and journalists shall be protected by law. The press has the right to be informed, to be interviewed, to be published, to be critical and to be supervised in accordance with the law on matters of national interest and public interest. The press and its authors are protected by law from any organization or individual who interferes with or obstructs their legitimate interviews. It is the duty and duty of the press agencies and their competent authorities to provide the necessary guarantees for journalists to carry out their journalistic activities and to protect their legitimate rights and interests。
Ii. To support the work of journalists. Government departments and their staff at all levels should provide appropriate facilities and guarantees for legal press interviews, and information of public interest should be made available to the public through the press in a timely manner and on its own initiative。
(c) maintaining access to legal documents。Press accreditationIt is the only legal document in our country for journalists to conduct press interviews and is a valid proof of their status as journalists. The accreditation of journalists in the domestic press, news agencies, radio, television and other media is authorized by the state council to be produced and issued centrally by the general press and publications administration, which can be checked by telephone, the internet, etc. Documents produced and issued by any other unit or individual shall not be used for press interviews, and one-time temporary interview cards produced by the host party during a major event shall be validly used with the press card. Criminal activities involving the forgery and forgery of press cards are severely combated。
Timely accreditation of qualified journalists. Press agencies should obtain press credentials for eligible news editors in a timely manner, and the public information administration should perform its services in a timely manner.
