August 31st question & answer
I've been asked these five questions every week. People ask are entrepreneurial, brand-made, market-managed, but the fear is essentially the same。
No bends today, one by one. My answer may be different from what you wanted to hear — but it's all true。
Question one: how much does it cost to get the geo done
Let's not talk about money, let's start with the premise that the first money you're spending is not "service." it'll cost you hundreds of dollars, not even money, to figure out what your brand is like in ai. It's a waste。
As for the official budget, i'm not going to give you the numbers, but i'm going to give you a test: geo's expense is "continuous content business," not "one-time work". It's not clear who's paying half the price, but you take care of it。
Question two: how long did it take to see effects

I'm afraid to hear the "how long" question -- not to answer, to be treated as a "old chinese doctor."。
It's not really slow on the line -- 10 or 15 days, you'll be in the a. I. A. Answer. But getting on the line is not equivalent to being stable, and the first few weeks are suddenly rather normal, and that's when ai quotes you "probably"; then it's getting more steady with content, and it's usually a clear sense of stability, up and down in a month, not too long. What really needs to be protected is not "slow," it's "stop," it's "cut," it's the slowest。
Question three: should we redo it
Mostly not. I've seen too many bosses and listen to geo and think i'm going to mess up the website. Really not。
The network usually only has three things to do: harmonize brand names and locational language, add "customer questions" to the content, and change the case to an ai-verifiable style. It's all a change of language, not a change of technology. Unless you built the network 10 years ago and couldn't even get your cell phone open, you'd be re-engineered。
Question four: is this a conflict with advertising? Is it a choice
There is no conflict, and it is exactly two things — one buys and one saves。
Advertisement is "pay-for-the-exposure" and it stops, like renting a house; geo is "let ai know you" and the content will sink in the language pool, like buying a house. When the budget is tight, i suggest that we do the geo check-up with a small amount of money, clean up the foundations, and then decide how to put the ad -- otherwise the traffic that comes out of the ad, you're not in the ai recommendation, and it's nothing。

Question five: what's the difference between you and seo
This is the most interesting question, and the answer is best: look at the format of the report。
Seo's report is a "keyword ranking list" -- how many names have you added to your vocabulary; geo's report is an "ai visibility table" -- under which of the ais and which of the questions, you have appeared several times, in which number you have been mentioned, right? If they give you a ranking screenshot, whatever he prints on his card, it's seo's job。
One sentence: seo solves "can i find you while searching" and geo solves "ai wants to pay you back." times change, the game changes。
At the end
After these five questions, you should have a basic disk of the geo. And if there's anything else that's not covered, the comment section asks me — i can answer it directly, i can't answer it clearly, i won't lie。
Look at me. Every day, take the "how's the brand recommended"。
Q1: i'm a personal/small business, not a big brand. Does it make sense to be a geo

It makes sense. Big brand budget, small business, just "first-in-first" -- that's all that's recommended, who gets the first one. And there's a natural advantage in people and small businesses doing geo: making decisions fast, finding problems today, and tomorrow. Your content has been in the language pool for months。
Q2: does geo replace seo? Is seo useless
It's not an alternative, it's an upgrade. "ai will look at the search data" -- it's a lot of times when ai's answers refer to the search results, so seo won't die, just from the end to the middle. The smart thing is to take both hands: seo guarantees you exist in the search results, geo guarantees you're remembered in ai's answer。
Q3: is it too late to enter
It's been 2026, and the a. I.'s wind is up, but "most brands don't realize," which means that the window period is still there. You open any of the ais, search your industry questions, see if the answers are just a few names. - the rest of the blanks are for people like you to understand in advance。

Author: geo dismantling officer-tingko, geo optimist (generating engine optimistic fieldist), focused on brand names that are prioritized and recommended for stabilization at ai platforms such as deepseek and bean pack. Let the brand be seen in the ai era. The case evidence and results can be validated and the ai search optimized on a daily basis。
