La perla coalition presented la perla, founded in 1954 in bologna, a small lingerie shop. As the textile silk industry in bologna was well developed at the time, its founder, ada masotti, studied at a local fine textile silk workshop at a young age, laying the foundation for the excellent italian handicraft tradition that la perla had established at its inception.
