A paper on building the painting confidence of young children in early childhood education
Talk about building the painting confidence of young children in early childhood education
Painting is a game for young children, a way to express themselves by drawing a pen, and a special form of awareness and attitude in which they express objective things. The young children's attention was unstable, lacked self-control, their hands were not coordinated enough, and they stayed at the end of the graffiti, but the period began to generate a desire to draw something that was always different from what they wanted. Paintings are often painted in a way that says “i can't paint”, showing a lack of interest in drawings, or even a certain timidity and low self-esteem due to the fact that they do not look like drawings. In order to overcome the timidity of young children in painting and to build confidence in painting, i made some attempts:

I. Protecting the nature of the painting of young children and stimulating their interest
Small classes of young children paint, mainly with graffiti, tools they can access, such as crayons, chalks, paint sticks, etc., and paint material they think can be painted, such as paper, books, walls, floors. When they see the lines they paint, they are very happy and content. However, there are young children who either sit there in their drawing classes or who have no interest in drawing. For young children who have just entered school, the child's bones are not well developed at this time. They are strange to everything. They have a poor ability to argue in different directions. They have difficult hand-shaping skills. They are more difficult to control. They are immediately asked to draw images that can only increase stress and require the coordination of many psychological functions. They are also involved in the coordination of relationships between the left and right hemispheres, and in the development of emotional relationships, so that they can achieve internal balance and remain stable in the environment. So, what we do in this period is not to ask children to produce what adults call finished products, but rather to protect the nature of painting that they are born to love and to help them maintain interest in painting activities. Interesting drawing games can be developed to develop their drawing interests, such as "dancing with a pen" , introducing young children to live in boxes where they play and dance every day, and then go back to the box, encouraging young children to do graffiti on paper, the teacher's language suggests, "do pen babies dance in circles? Would you like another square dance? Inspired young children to draw graphics. We also use a variety of means to draw young children, such as cutting paper into big trees, stimulating the drawing of big apples on it, cutting a paper disc, inspiring the drawing of cookies or candy for hospitality, cutting a small basket, inspiring the drawing of mushrooms, making a “shroom picker” game, etc. In order to involve young children in drawing activities, to overcome fear and to increase their confidence in painting, teachers need to use more motivational methods, such as comforting young children who do not cry, helping them to finish their work, encouraging young children who are often called “i do not paint” to take a pen to try, or teaching them to paint with their hands, and encouraging them to do so well。
Ii. Admiring and protecting young children's interest in painting
1. The drawings of small classes of young children should not be a success or a failure, and children should be praised loud and positive as long as they are willing to carry out their drawings carefully, even if they cannot read them。
The image of a small class of children is absurd, irrational or non-existent, but this is the source of the beauty of the children's drawings, which will bring the charms that are beyond the reach of adults. So let the children draw themselves, even a few lines, a few circles, a few pieces of color, a few unformed graphics. You know, children draw more like a game, a “unlike” painting that is nothing in the eyes of adults, which is the product of children's own pleasure, and their true feelings of the outside world and their true sense of the inner world. And it is this game that inspires their minds and nurtures their personality, imagination and creativity. As the painter cézan said: “how hard is it to accept nature in innocence, to see the world as a child born, and to preserve children's emotions as an artist should always be。
2. Whatever happens to young children in small classes, whatever happens in the eyes of adults, we should first analyse the causes, reflect on the links between our thinking and behaviour and the events and help children to rationalize their interests。
What we need to do is to help the child to find ways to satisfy her wishes and establish rules, to maintain and constantly stimulate the interest of young children in drawing activities, not to attack the child's nature, but to maintain and maintain that interest, in addition to creating a loose drawing environment, must be taught in the same way as games, to observe and inspire their imaginations, to encourage them to be courageous in drawing what they see, think, love, and to clearly define the purpose of teaching, so that teaching and thinking is integrated into teaching. The simultaneous improvement of skills, especially in the case of young children, is an important means of maintaining interest. That's the only way to make the kids feel the world in their eyes with their pens! It's the only way children can love painting as they always do, a tool to make their hearts talk
Iii. Learning simple painting skills to enhance young children's painting confidence
The mere interest in painting and the lack of painting skills do not allow for the expression of the life you know, so simple drawing skills are essential for small classes. In each of these drawings, we practice points, lines and graphics based on the drawing characteristics of the small class. When the work is rounded, young children are directed to draw their familiar objects with circles and lines, such as balloons, sun, apples, rabbits, etc. The ability to determine the position is gradually increasing, and it is easier to learn other graphics when the circle is combined. Through basic painting training, early childhood learning institutions have developed graphics and lines to create images of objects they are familiar with and have gradually learned to paint. In addition to the daily drawing and teaching activities, it is possible to use the drawing horns, to act as small painters, to exercise free time, to guide young children to the drawing activities; to provide them with paper and pens, to draw freely, to draw together with young children as participants in regional games, to draw their favorite animals, trees, houses, cars, etc., and to enjoy the work done with them, and to involve more and more young children in the drawing activities. Young children have developed an interest in painting and acquired a certain skill to motivate them, thereby building their painting confidence。
These are some of the insights and studies that i have developed for the drawing of young children in small classes, and it has been proven that in the drawing activities of young children in small classes, teachers must play their leading role, respect the individual differences of the child, teach them, use a variety of effective methods, mobilize young children's initiative and active participation, and enable young children to maintain and increase their interest in easy and pleasant environments and inspire children's confidence in painting。
