The maintenance vehicle consists mainly of a water ring vacuum pump and a water quality detection system, the working method of which is based on the coordinated operation of both. Aqueous loop vacuum pumps are used to inhale, compress and exhaust gas through changes in the volume of the pump cavity, and work fluids form a liquid ring-aided operation. Water quality detection systems use sensors to measure physical, chemical and biological indicators of water bodies, and data collected are processed and stored and analysed。

Specifically, the water loop vacuum pump works as follows: in the pump body, an appropriate amount of water is pre-filled as work fluid. When the wheel begins to rotate with a clockwise, the water is thrown around due to the centrifugal force, thus forming a closed circle in the walls of the pump. A moon-shaped space was formed between the wheel wheel and the water ring, and this space was divided into small chambers of the wheel. The size of the small cavity is gradually increased at 180° in front of the wheel, when the small cavity is connected to the inhaler and begins to inhale. When inhaled, the small cavity was isolated from the inhaled mouth. The wheel then continued to rotate, the volume of the small cavity was reduced by large size and the gas in the cavity was compressed. When the small cavity is connected to the vent, the gas is discharged. This is how it rotates back and forth, allowing for inhaling, compression and venting。

The water quality detection system is equipped with a wide range of sensors, such as dissolved oxygen sensors, ph sensors, audible sensors, temperature sensors and conductors. After full contact with the water body, the measured data is collected in real time through the data acquisition system and transmitted to the data processing units of the monitoring vehicle. In this module, data are stored and analysed after a series of operations such as preprocessing, calibration and integration。

In general, the maintenance of water loop detection vehicles, which rely on close collaboration between water loop vacuum pumps and water quality detection systems, has achieved precision detection of discharges from gas to water quality, becoming an essential tool in the field of environmental monitoring and providing solid protection for the water resources environment。
