“respect for nature
Love for life”

In order to further raise the awareness of the community to protect wildlife and maintain ecological balance, a series of wildlife conservation awareness and education campaigns have recently been organized by the myeongju community on the theme “protection of flying pixels”。
The network of community-based organizations (cbos) has carried out a campaign to raise awareness of the law and has visited the subdistricts with volunteers. A total of 52 brochures have been distributed to the population on the wildlife protection act. The campaign focuses on knowledge about the protection of common birds and the prohibition of illegal hunting and breeding, leading to the establishment of legal protection。

Communities are actively coordinating the sub-district property units and replaying wildlife conservation and advocacy audio at the main entrance to the sub-district. Through daily, continuous audio campaigns, coverage is extended to “advocacy and sound” so that the sense of protection becomes deeply visible。
In the case of former wild bird breeders, the community conducts special screenings and accurate return visits, patient counselling, clarification of legal responsibilities and ecological hazards, elimination of re-rearing and a shift from “aftercare” to “preventive prevention”。

On 5 march, on the occasion of the réseau de récherche, the community closed the main line of “leave the spirit of mine and practice the eco-civilization”, bringing together volunteerism in depth with wildlife conservation efforts and organizing a series of thematic advocacy activities by volunteers from the districts. At the site of the event, volunteers provide people with visual information about the morphological characteristics, life habits and protective meaning of common local birds, in the form of banners and information material. In the context of real cases, the volunteers gave live lectures on the wildlife protection laws and answered questions from residents. Active participation by a large number of people, especially young people. In the course of the presentations, the population not only increased its awareness of wildlife conservation, but also learned more about the close connection and complementarity between the spirit of volunteerism, which is “relationship, fraternity, mutual assistance, progress” and the sense of social responsibility to safeguard the environment. The event effectively broadened the depth and breadth of the campaign and created a good community atmosphere of “learning, volunteering, ecological protection, home love”。

As a next step, the myungju community will move forward with long-term co-existence, continuing to integrate resources and innovative forms, carrying out thematic campaigns in conjunction with major ecological festivals, and encouraging the active participation of the population in monitoring reports and creating a new community culture of “respect for nature, love for life, rejection of breeding and protection of flying feathers”。
