Maintaining curiosity about the world and building broader horizons is an extremely important thing that allows us to walk in a wider world with greater humility. We will no longer be arrogant because of ignorance, we will not be tempted by small things and we will not be driven far away by immediate interests. Protecting young children is one of the responsibilities of our creators by helping them build broader horizons。
How can this be achieved in science works? The most important is how scientific knowledge is presented. We cannot build data in creation or list knowledge, but rather create a whole new world by internalizing those scientific knowledge. Such a book is like a knowledge in the afternoon, and you cannot see it, but you can hear it, and it is like a child who sees a cat, and does not know it, but is able to live with it as a friend. The world is still new for children, and they want to know what else is in this world, except for themselves and their families, except for kindergarten teachers and classmates. They want to know how big the world is, apart from home, but not kindergarten, but the cities in which they live. They want to know how far beyond the present, beyond the short past they can remember. Their curiosity is to open the key to the world, and they will explore the wider world through their curiosity, and all we have to do is not close the doors when they unlock them. This is the most important question we've thought about in the creation of this book。
After the publication of the pnso encyclopedia for children, it was popular with a large number of children, and the foreign publishing market was well received, with french, italian, english, russian and korean being published. During these years, we have made many revisions to the book based on the latest scientific research。
But in 2021, we decided not to publish the pnso encyclopedia for children, but to break down into 10 books on more interesting topics into a series of pnso encyclopedia for children. The most important reason for this change is that we want more children to read the book. The pnso encyclopedia for children is a three-manufacturing book, each at a price of $128 and, together, nearly $400, which is too expensive for many families. As a result of the revision, while there were 10 copies, the cost of printing was significantly reduced and the price of the package was approximately the same as the original one. Five years after the publication of the pnso children's encyclopedia, we have created the pnso children's encyclopaedia for dinosaurs, because children are unique to dinosaurs and have a greater desire to explore the subject. In this newly created collection, we have focused on developing the capacity of children to ask questions, rather than on simple scientific knowledge. Today, in the face of big information, it is more important for a child to learn to think than to acquire knowledge. The ability to ask valuable questions is the most critical step in stimulating children's creativity, and the next step is to explore the issues, to proactively seek answers and, in turn, to solve them, one of their most important abilities in future learning and life. Thus, in the creation of this body of books, we have focused on developing the capacity of children to ask questions and solve problems. We have chosen the topics of the greatest interest to the six categories of children in knowing dinosaurs, including: “why would dinosaurs grow feathers?” “how do dinosaurs hunt?” “how do dinosaurs breed?” “how do dinosaurs defend their enemies?” “how do dinosaurs live?” “how are dinosaurs born and destroyed?” and then we have an in-depth presentation based on the question. In doing so, we will constantly ask children one question after another, prompting them to think and explore in depth. We look for evidence in fossils, in recent research by scientists using advanced ct scans and three-dimensional reconstruction, data modelling techniques; we look for answers, like detectives, using horizontal and vertical analogies, anatomical knowledge. In this process, children slowly learn how to ask questions and how to solve them. It's not a book that we tell you what the world is like, it's a book that we find together。
The pnso children's encyclopedia and the pnso children's encyclopedia provide more opportunities for children to think in depth. The book consists of six books containing nearly 300 species of dinosaurs, which can be said to be the most important child encyclopaedia in the market so far。
