The weather is getting colder, and a variety of heating items, such as electric heaters and thermostats, are on the scene. But if used inappropriately, it can easily lead to security risks. On 20 october, journalists saw the visible location of heating items such as electric heaters, warm handies, and heaters for the winter, such as the town of pingyang and the long wind fair. Among them, thermal wiring heat heaters, commonly known as the “small sun”, are the best marketers, with prices ranging from $60 to $300, because they are cheap and user-friendly. In addition, warm hands with prices ranging from $10 to $75 are particularly interesting. There is also a more affordable one-time heating sticker that can be placed directly on the undergarments and continue to heat, with only $1 to $6 per piece。
On 21 october, journalists arrived at the shanxi medical device testing centre with a randomly purchased 85-dollar ash “small sun” heater, 15-dollar plastic sheeting and 25-dollar cotton plaque warm hand treasures, and two warm stickers each at $1. 50. Journalists experimented with the "small sun" and in less than five minutes the wet towels covered in the mask would be burnt, while the warm stickers were directly exposed to the human body and the raw shrimp "chick" was cooked in an hour。
In less than five minutes, the towels were burned by little sun
Many people would leave their socks, towels, etc., dryed on the “small sun” mask, and journalists used wet towels to experiment. First, journalists connected to the “small sun” power source and moved to the cryogenic barrier, where only the hot wires in the heaters became red. A wet towel was then placed on the mask, and for only two seconds it began to eerie. Journalists use a specialized infrared thermal imager to position the temperature of the heater, with a maximum temperature of 390°c for the luminous tube (heated silk) and 280°c for the reflector mask。
Journalists then moved the “small sun” to a high temperature barrier. The yellow light had become white, with a clear sense of increased temperature around it. The journalist took out a wet towel, placed it on the mask, and in the blink of an eye, the originally flat-stamped towel began to tighten in part. Two minutes later, the towel became completely dry and partially hard and yellow. Two minutes later, the yellow part was burnt and turned black. At that time, the maximum temperature of the luminous tubes was raised to 510°c and the reflection mask was 360°c。
Zhang zhiqing, director, source room, medical equipment testing centre, shanxi province, told journalists that the heat heater, which is a heater with a dent lens reflecting type, relies mainly on electro-thermal radiation elements (thermal wire) and reflectors (reflection masks) to launch infrared radiation into a given space direction, which is harmless to the human body. At the time of use, however, because of the high temperature of electrical thermal cords and reflector masks and close exposure to items that are prone to burns or flames, items such as towels should be avoided in use。
Warm-covered shrimp. One hour's fine
Is it safe to have one hour of sustainable heat when people like to put a one-off sticker on their underwear during winter? The reporter tore a warm piece of glass and wrapped the pre-prepared live shrimp. At this point, warm paste doesn't feel hot, even a little cold. About half an hour later, the warm sticker became clearly hot. About an hour later, the cuddled stickers were turned on and the green shrimp had become red and fully curdled。
Then the journalist opened another warm patch and put it on his underwear. On the warmer overpack there is a description of “the average temperature of 53°c in warmth lasting 12 hours”. An hour later, journalists used the infrared thermal imager to conduct temperature measurements at 57. 8°c。
Zhiqing zhang told journalists that, although the prices of heating are different, the raw materials are roughly the same, mainly synthetic polymers such as water, iron powder, activated carbon, cylindrical stone, salt, etc., and that these materials produce a heating reaction with oxygen and thus heat. The leeches in the raw materials expand at high temperatures, which contribute to the persistence of the temperature。
Warm hand is charged at 61°c for six minutes
Journalists connected two warm hand treasures of plastic cloth and cotton fabric to power, respectively. Among them, a 10-dollar plastic-covered surface warm handbow was accompanied by a “mud” sound when heated, and the hand was placed to feel a slight shock. At the same time, warm hands are becoming “larger”. Six minutes later, the power was automatically turned off. The reporter took the warm hand in his hand and was burned out in less than three seconds. Temperature measurements with an infrared thermal imager are shown at 61°c。
The warm hand reaction of another cotton cloth surface is “silent”, with 13 minutes of heating, but journalists can warm their hands directly in their hands and do not feel hot. The temperature is then measured with an infrared thermal imager at 53°c。
Zhang zhiqing explained that warm handbow works by heating internal electrolytic fluids through heaters, which actually boils the water inside, so the temperature is higher。
Contact 45°c for over an hour
It could cause irreversible harm
Heating temperatures exceed 57 °c and warm handball temperatures reach 61 °c. Will such temperatures cause harm to humans? The journalists interviewed the director of burning orthotics at the 264th hospital of the people's liberation army。
Director feng told reporters that, in general, the temperature threshold (threshold) for normal human skin is 45 °c (lower for children) and that when humans are exposed to objects from 40 °c to 44 °c, it can cause an enzyme failure in skin cells, resulting in changes in cell function, which are reversible, i. E. Self-healing. However, if it lasts for six hours, the function change becomes irreversible; when the temperature of the object reaches 45°c, continuous exposure to the body causes irreversible harm for one hour; and 70°c causes total skin damage for one second。
According to press experiments, the temperature of warm stickers and handbreaders exceeds 57°c, and the harm caused is irreversible if the human body is exposed for more than an hour。
Director fung stated that he was exposed to hot water bags or hot-burned patients every winter, so that when using heating tools, citizens must choose the regular product and use it correctly。
