Less than a week after the double 11, the major electric operators, such as skycat, kyoto, suning, and others, are competing for pre-sales. In the face of the upcoming “loading peak”, a number of courier companies have begun to “recruit” and have launched recruitment slogans of tens of thousands of dollars a month. And for the “jacking” of couriers, they even competed for the price — 10,000 on this side, 12 on the other side and 15,000 on the better side. In response, the white collars of the office are “envious and jealous”. Is the courier really getting this high? How much do they make in a month? This has been the subject of an in-depth investigation by the beijing youth journalist in recent days。
Post-90 courier: two-month pay is easy
After 90 years of high school, li zazen was a young courier at the kyoto garden road distribution station. “don't look at me as a one-year courier, and we've been through the double 11 and 6. 18 wars, and we've stood the test and never been afraid before the war”. Little li is looking forward to the coming double 11, which is: “the double 11 is tired, but earns a lot, and the monthly salary is easy to earn.”
Two dozen times this year, skycats and kyoto towns invested a great deal of resources in the fight for the “cutting hands.” pre-sale activities for various commodities have begun, and the couriers have been on their feet, and li has been “crowded” for half an hour to interview the beijing youth reporter, answering questions in a simple manner and wishing to return to his post immediately. For couriers, time is absolute “gold and silver” and their wages come from the sum of each delivery, the more the delivery is made and the more the monthly salary is paid。
Composition of monthly salary: base salary + contribution
One week before double 11, xiao li was in a hurry and told the north qing newspaper reporter: “the salary of the courier is the minimum salary plus the amount of the delivery, that is, the number of deliveries is higher. During the two 11th period, kyoto will also have a massive promotional campaign, and orders will usually double, and we will have the highest wages, which will be easy for us, so we all look forward to it.”
In the express courier industry, young people are well equipped, and li is a “fast shooter” who can deliver 15-20 pieces per hour in the ordinary residential building; and in the written building, 20-30 pieces per hour can be delivered in the same period of time because of the relative concentration of the recipients. “these are normal delivery volumes, which, if it were two, would be 30 per cent more, so that the monthly salary would be considerably higher.”
“in addition, during the period of the double 11th and 6. 18th, the number of couriers in the top 10th and 618th, for example, this year, the bonus was $618”, li said, “so during the double 11th, many cutters were happy and we were happy.”
However, li was also very hard during the two eleventh anniversary period. At 7:00 a. M., you can go home when you're almost 7 p. M., while at 6 a. M. During the second 11th period you have to pick up the goods immediately and start a day of work until 11 p. M., except for lunch。
“of course, if we want to have a high monthly salary, the number of deliveries is one aspect of the appraisal, and our client's attitude to the service is important, and if we have a good client, we will have an extra score, which will be reflected in our salary.” lee gave an example of how every delivery that comes in front of a client's home, where the garbage is placed, is brought downstairs with his help, which has become his working habit, hoping to impress the client. The average monthly salary is 7800
Despite the fact that the monthly income during the two-to-one period is over 10,000, the “flying” of nearly a dozen hours a day and the pile of fastware awaiting delivery make the work of the courier “a little heavy”. Surprisingly, li spoke about her courier experience and was very happy in the interview, when he said, “this is the best career option after graduation”。
Little li's first job after coming to beijing was as a waitress in a restaurant, working long hours per day and very tired, earning more than $1,000 a month. Within a short period of time, he was advised to be a courier. “kyoto expresser has a high salary of $7,000-$8,000 per month and a five-and-one-a-half rate, which is much better than you are now. Who's gonna insure you? What if you get old。
“the interview of the kyodong expresser is required, for example, to graduate from high school and to be between 20 and 40 years of age. After the interview is passed, it may not be possible — after three days of trial, three days of `warring' to be a courier, the company will test his ability to react to the user's whims.” li said, “i was lucky to have passed the interview and the trial, and it was only after i got to work that i realized that the pay and benefits of the kimdong couriers were very good in the industry, and that many of the other couriers had jumped to us, and now have been working for a year, and i have always been grateful for the encouragement of my hometown in kyodong”。
The annual high-paid couriers are after overtime
The work of the couriers, while earning a lot, is also very hard, and they are seen running around in the streets and at the door of the stairs. A lot of people wonder if they have vacations
“in the heart, after new year's eve, we don't want to spend the rest of our business, because, at the end of the year, kyoto pays three times the wage, so we all spend overtime.” little li told the north qing newspaper reporter, “but don't you think we're iron, we don't even have a day off in the first half of the year, we have a normal vacation, but we don't have a normal vacation like any other industry, we usually take a break, so we don't have to take delivery, and we all take a break.”
After all, the courier is a manual job. What happens when you're older? Xiao li said, “we have a very common way of going up here, and if we do well, we'll be promoted to a manager, and we won't have to deliver it every day.” li pointed to the story of the assistant chief of the distribution station in kyoto。
When it comes to income, chen jianping and his colleagues are satisfied that “though much has been paid, it is true that much has been made available, much less than many wage earners in society, and even more than many white collars”. With regard to the social “trip delivery workers' monthly salary of tens of thousands”, chen jianping told the north qing press that “it does happen, and it will depend, of course, on the timing, and that the delivery usually erupts when there is a major promotion and the income is naturally high”
It is understood that the salary of the sumin couriers is a base salary increment, which can be increased by a certain amount for each delivery, if the delivery is made. Chen jianping told north qing newspaper reporters that their average salary was roughly between $4,500 and $7,000, “but if they catch up with suning this year’s easy purchase of ‘818 grand’, many of the couriers close to the busy areas of nakawan village would be paid more than ten thousand a month, and some of the skilled old couriers could even reach more than $15,000.”
Nearly 100 bills a day
However, behind this modest income is the extra work of couriers beyond other jobs. Chen jianping and his colleagues will arrive at the delivery point by 7 a. M. Each morning, which is clearly “a lot earlier than other jobs”. The early start of work and the sorting of goods will make it possible to start delivery at 8:00 in many units。
He told north qing journalists that the most obvious feeling in the three years of the sunin dry delivery was that the distinction between the cold seasons was no longer so obvious as to seem to be fully organized daily. He explained that when you first came to work, you could feel a clear chilly season, often on tuesdays, with a lot of stuff being squeezed down on weekends, and a lot of people who liked to buy a home-based house on weekends; and a lot of work going on during major promotional events, and at other times relatively easy. Now, however, the order volume is very busy, not to mention in the marketing season. Chen told the north qing press that his daily workload was close to 100 orders and that if suning were to have a major activity, the workload would have increased more than twice per person per day, and that he and his colleagues would have to be at the delivery point by 6 a. M。
It would normally take chen jianping and his colleagues to leave work at 7 or 8 p. M. From the day of receipt of the work order to the end of the night, the working hours usually take about 12 hours, and when the cargo is large, they find a place in the shop where they can stay. At present, they are generally given only one day off a week, not even a month off when they are busy. These additional hours of overtime will have to wait until the rest of the season。
