Research data from the centre for the promotion of intellectual property in central guan village show that intellectual property databases of various disciplines are being actively built at the beijing institute of higher education and that almost 60 per cent of these are self-established in research institutes. Currently, the co-establishment of public intellectual property information services at beijing university has achieved full chain coverage of intellectual property information services at the university through a variety of dimensions, including talent development, service upgrading and resource integration。
In the recent past, the centre for the promotion of intellectual property in central guanamura has selected 21 institutions of higher learning in kyoto to conduct research on the financing of intellectual property information services, database development and the status of institution-building. More than 85 per cent of these institutions have purchased commercial patent databases that meet the basic needs of intellectual property information services. Many higher education institutions have their own intellectual property databases, such as the 6g iqn patent pool at beijing post and telecommunications university, the oil and gas industry patent library at china petroleum university, and the energy and electricity industry patent database at the north china electricity university。
These databases focus primarily on the fields of excellence. Patent databases in the energy and electricity sector can provide online access to and analysis of global patent data in the energy and electricity industry; the 6g iain patent library focuses on the sixth generation of mobile communications technology, covering patent data in the technology innovation focus area of the 6g iain-related global network, and allows for multi-dimensional patent data analysis that can help users to access the latest developments in the field efficiently。
In recent years, the resources of the city's intellectual property information public service have gradually been shared with the kyoto university. In 2025, the first intellectual property literacy course for students in higher education was launched in kyoto; for the first time, a team of intellectual property employment mentors from enterprises and intellectual property services was set up in the city to provide students with guidance on intellectual property employment and career planning proposals; a public service interface of intellectual property information was established between the university and parks and enterprises in kyoto, with innovative vehicles such as the chinese-kwan village software park, the chinese-kan-tung science and technology park, and the hindiya national agricultural science and technology park, working with five higher schools to promote efficient resource transfer。
At present, there are 19 public service units for intellectual property information at beijing university. In 2026, the city will continue to promote the development of intellectual property information retrieval contests at the kyoto university college of higher education, the promotion of intellectual property information curricula, the development of student intellectual property practice skills and the upgrading of teachers ' applications, and will encourage the development of specialized intellectual property information public services at the kyoto college of higher education, which will focus on the fields of specialization and resources, and will encourage the introduction of artificial intelligence technology and the provision of precision, pro bono intellectual property information services。
