    Ebenhos

German psychologist, hermann ebbinghaus, 24 january 1850-26 february 1909。

Abinhos, born in the business community of bammen, germany, attended the university of bonn at the age of 17 to study history and linguistics. Doctorate, university of bonn, 1873. In 1875 - 1878, study tours in the united kingdom, france and influenced by fahima began to study memory in experimental methods. Associate professor, university of berlin, 1886. In 1890, ibinhos and others co-founded the journal of psychology and psychiatry. Professor at the university of blausre, 1894. Professor at khare university, 1905。

    Family background

Born on 24 january 1850 in bamán, near bonn, rhine province, in the prussia, and a lutheran religion, father carl ebinhos, a well-known paper and textile capitalist, a wealthy businessman, whose mother was very stingy about money. Ibinhos is the fourth child in the family, and fortunately ibinhos' aunt is very fond of him and has been supporting his studies。

Ebinhos has been a luthorian teacher since he was a child, attending elementary schools in the town of gymnasium. He then went to the balmon lycée in humanities and graduated in 1867。

    Education

Following the graduation of ebinhos high school, he attended the universities of bonn, harley and berlin, specializing in history and philosophy until the outbreak of the legal war in 1870。

Following the outbreak of the puffa war, ebinghos wrote his pen and joined the prussia cavalry。

Retired that year, he returned to the university of bonn, where he published a doctoral thesis entitled unintentional philosophy of hartmann in 1873 and was awarded a doctorate in philosophy in august. After that, the ebeinhos brigade lived in berlin for two years。

In 1875 ebinhos went to england for study. While studying abroad, he relied on being a teacher to support his living expenses, and began an initial attempt to study memory using experimental methods, unfortunately without success. But ebeinhos was very good at summing up, and the main reason for the failure was the significance of the research materials of the experiment, which laid the foundation for future meaningless memory experiments。

    Academic studies

In 1877, ebinghos came to paris in the hope that he would be able to use the wealth of its library resources for research. In paris, ebinghos read the psychiatry platform in fesina. This book has confirmed his confidence in studying memory in an experimental way。

In the autumn of 1878, ebinhos returned to germany to teach the german prince wedma language. By the spring of 1879, prince wedma had suddenly died of diphtheria, and the glorious work of ebinhos was over。

Ebinhos began a systematic study of memory in the spring of 1879. In order to study accurately the process of formation of the association, he creatively used the meaningless syllables。

By the spring of 1880, ebinhos presented his research methodology and statistical results to the faculty of philosophy at the university of berlin. Helmhots commented very highly on his report。

Philosophy tselle suggested that ebinhos undertake further research and publish more reports. Finally, thesis by ebinhos was accepted, and he was thus awarded the position of a non-term and unpaid lecturer in philosophy at the university of berlin。

During 1883-1884, ebinhos repeated and expanded his memory experiment in 1879。

In the autumn of 1885, ebinhos published his research under the heading " memory " 。

Since then, although his psychological textbooks contained a great deal of information about memory, he did not carry on the experimental study of memory. Apart from a brief letter sent to a british journal protesting its inaccurate conclusions about his work being taken out of context, ebenhos has not published any more articles about memory。

Abinhos, who was promoted to the university of berlin in 1886 as a salaried, but still unexpired professor, inherited his tradition of memory research mainly from a few early assistants and students from mueller and mueller。

In 1890, the university of cornell in the united states formally and generously invited ebinhos to visit cornell university to be a professor, but ebinhos refused. In the same year, aybinhos, together with atul koenig and others, founded the journal of sensory psychology and physiology, which was his main achievement in the latter part of the university of berlin。

As editor-in-chief of the magazine ebinhos for 16 years, thanks to his efforts, the journal of sensory psychology and physiology was hailed as “the most important psychological voice in germany”。

In 1893, ebinhos published his color theory. At the same time, he established a psychological laboratory at the university of berlin。

In the autumn of 1894, he was invited to a full-time professorship at the university of breslow, and shortly thereafter a psychology laboratory was established at the university of breslow. Worked there until 1905。

In 1895, ibinhos was commissioned by school management to design a test to examine child mental fatigue and to develop a sentence filling test, the first successful test to study advanced psychological processes, which is now used in many general intelligence tests。

In 1905, abinhossi was transferred from the university of breslau to the university of harley-witberg。

On 26 february 1909, ebinghos died of pneumonia at khare university, as young as 59 years old。

    Personal works

As an experimental psychologist, ebinghos left few papers and, in addition to his unconscious philosophy paper from hartmann, published in early 1873, published the following monographs。

    Memory (1885)

The book memory, published in 1885. Its research methods have had a profound impact on subsequent memory studies and even on experimental studies of psychology as a whole. It's a milestone in the experimental psychology literature. "it was seen as an experimental psychology breakthrough in the advanced psychological process'the barrier'。

    Psychological doctrine (1897) (1902) (1908)

Volume i, first half (1897), second half and full volume (1902), volume ii, first half and simplified book (1908)

    Psychological programme (1908)

"psychology has a long past, but only a short history."

    Main achievements

    (1) the creation of meaningless syllables, complete memory and economy methods for the first experimental study of the memory of advanced psychological processes and quantitative analysis of memory。

    (2) for the first time, a pattern of retention and oblivion has been found, i. E., the longer the learning takes, the less it lasts, the slower the oblivion tends, and the scientific basis for drawing the oblivion curve。

    (3) using experimental and statistical methods, a more in-depth analysis of the process and conditions that form the association, as well as some of its patterns, reveals a number of variables that affect learning and the maintenance of materials, such as length, meaning, repetition rate, and the duration of a song. The effects of over-learning, concentration and distribution were also examined。
