Since 2003, the chinese overseas university has added a specialty in radio and television journalism. In may 2016, the school decided to establish an independent unitPress and communication instituteI don't know. There are currently 3 specially recruited professors and 67 teaching staff, of whom 47 are full-time teachers, 7 are professors, 19 are associate professors, 40 have doctoral degrees and 18 are teachers with a background of study abroad or more than six months abroad. Four were elected to the departmental ministerial talent programme and six to the higher level. In the last five years, eight national social science foundations have been awarded, 24 provincial ministries have been awarded the first prize for excellence in social sciences in fujian province, and over 100 academic papers have been published。
The academy currently has three faculties of digital dissemination, digital publishing, digital journalism and four undergraduates in radio and television, advertising, journalism and digital publishing, and radio and television is the country's leading undergraduate. In january 2013, the college was granted a master's point for secondary studies in “media culture and communication” under the master's point for chinese language subjects, a master's point for journalism and communication in september 2016 and a master's point for journalism and communications in september 2023。
In keeping with the concept of “mainstream values, new visions”, the college has promoted the “ten generations” project in a comprehensive manner, leading to the development of the talents of the service students, which has been recognized for the past three years as the “five and four red flags committee of the chinese overseas university” for its “advanced work for students at the chinese overseas university”. At present, there are 1,764 students, including 1,090 from 27 countries and territories; 1,448 undergraduate students, representing 67. 6 per cent; and 316 graduate students, representing 35. 1 per cent. The end-of-year employment rate of graduates in recent years is over 93 per cent。
In particular, the institute focuses on the development of practical skills of students, who receive more than 100 awards each year for such important events as the national challenge cup, the internet+, the chinese student online culture festival and the university advertising arts contest. The film entitled " the drum of the drum " , which was created by the college's teachers and students, has successfully received a public screening licence from the national film office and has been added to the 13th international film festival.
