On the afternoon of 19 november, in an effort to take full advantage of the leading role of youth organizations in the dissemination of science, to promote knowledge of marine culture and to stimulate interest and enthusiasm among young people in marine science, a team from the science programme of the lanzhou marine park went to the hayhong elementary school of the water park educational group to conduct a marine science education campaign。
The young science teachers entered the campus with the mobile ocean museum, allowing the children to see shells and real jellyfish before they reached school。

There was no more fascination for the event than mr. Cope's flexible animal curriculum. Without the protection of a hard shell, and with its unique survival wisdom, the ocean is reproducing in the ocean, and these soft marine inhabitants make us wonder at the wonders of nature。

Mr. Cope showed models of octopus and squid. "these two are smart players in molluscs!" the teacher said that the octopus had eight flexible wrists, full of straws, which were able to hold the prey firmly and ejected the ink when they met the enemy; the squid's body was like a rocket line, swimming at a particularly fast pace and was a “swimming general” in the ocean。

The teachers also told you that molluscs are particularly important for marine ecology, such as scallops and oysters that filter seawater to make the marine environment cleaner. But now there is an increasing amount of plastic waste in the ocean, and many molluscs eat plastic bags as food, thereby injuring and even dying。

The most popular is the interactive link. At the outset, the children raised their hands high and feared that they would not be seen by their teachers. “whale is a fish?” “no, mammal! Why is the sea salt?” “because there's so much salt!” the answer was quick and correct。

Every curiosity is the seed of future science; every practice is paving the way for the dream of innovation. Ocean science has entered the campus, giving children a real sense of ocean charm. Not only have they known all kinds of marine life, they have learned general knowledge and they have learned more about the importance of protecting the oceans。
The event was not only a transfer of marine knowledge, but also a living practice of the city youth federation in the service of youth growth and supportive science education. With the advancement of the series of science programmes, the city youth federation will continue to act as a bridge to inject scientific energy into the construction of youth-development cities in the city of lanzhou, helping young people of the new age to sail long distances on the journeys of the powerful nations of technology。
