With a view to further promoting the spirit of volunteerism, “relationship, fraternity, mutual assistance, progress”, professionalization of the volunteer corps and the creation of a well-regulated brand of volunteering, on 6 february, the delegation of the cantonal council of hua and the county voluntary associations organized training in volunteer etiquette, specially invited a team of professional teachers, youth volunteers in various fields gathered at the othium centre of the canton of hua, knowledge of etiquette and skills in hammering services。
The training was tailored to the actual demand for volunteerism and was carried out using the “theory of theory + practical demonstration + interactive exercise”. The teacher's team combines its experience with the three core dimensions of typologies, communication terms and behaviour, with a focus on the basic requirements for proper handling of volunteering, the systematic teaching of the basic rituals of civilized language, standard body moves, etc., and the provision of targeted technical guidance to different clients and different service scenarios, the decomposition of the details of the ceremonial requirements and the clear understanding of the elements of the service。
The training included a rich set of interactive exercises and scene simulations, with volunteers grouping up real service scenarios, such as showmaking, counselling, etc., so as to apply the knowledge of etiquette to practice. Teachers travel between groups to observe and correct the details of their actions in real time, to make precise points on issues in the exercise, to focus on the learning climate on the ground, to enable volunteers to deepen their understanding of the rules of protocol in their exercise and to effectively enhance their ability to apply them。
This ceremonial training is an important initiative of the canton of hua to focus on the building of volunteer teams and the upgrading of professional skills. It not only delivers practical ceremonial knowledge “dry” to volunteers, but also deepens awareness of ceremonialism as a “soft power” of volunteerism. Participating volunteers have indicated that they will internalize the institute's work and externalize its work, presenting young volunteers with a well-dressed image, a well-regulated etiquette, and a passionate attitude in following up on volunteering. As a next step, the district councils and county volunteer associations will continue to improve the volunteer empowerment system, develop a series of specialized trainings around different service scenarios, continuously improve the quality of volunteerism, and allow civilized volunteerism to inject more youth into local development。
