On 2 july, a message was received from the water company limited of pyramid hill city that it had successfully completed the rehabilitation of the dn600mm water pipeline in the west yang village section of peace avenue in the city, using non-opening “microstart” repair techniques and using flexible composite fibre liners. This is the first time that the city has been able to rehabilitate the water pipeline through the application of new materials through internal liner technology, marking a new phase of micro-creation and efficiency in the maintenance of the city's water network。
It is known that the dn600mm water pipeline in the si yang river sector has long been paved and the problem of erosion is increasing. However, because of the crossover of pipelines and bridges, the use of traditional methods of digging and repair not only makes construction difficult but also has a greater impact on the surrounding traffic and the lives of the population。
As a result, the ministry of production and technology, after numerous field surveys and in-depth studies, determined that the work would be carried out in the form of a soft-lined, enhanced fibre hose plug-in repair. This approach does not involve large-scale excavations of the ground, but only a single cut-off would allow for the efficient internal repair of underground water pipelines with “micro-invasive” technology。
In the course of the construction work, the technical staff of the company's project department first carried out a 360-degree internal peep survey of the interior of the pipe using a pipe detection robot to obtain a full picture of the condition of the tube wall and to remove the interior cavities and sharp impurities in a timely manner。
Subsequently, the construction staff placed the composite fibre-cleaning pe-enhanced hoses into the pipeline, blocked both ends of the hoses, and used the air-pressor emittered condensing tube to allow the hoses to expand evenly and fit closely into the inner walls of the original pipelines, forming a high-intensity “pipe intubation” structure, achieving efficient repair and eliminating leakage。
Faced with complex problems such as partial deformation of the pipelines and multiple contour links, the construction team managed to take one attack at a time, eventually taking only two days to complete the repair of the pipelines on 29 june. The pipeline is now running smoothly and in a stable state。
It was described as a technique that reduced the duration of work by more than 60 per cent compared to traditional processes and that did not have to break roads, which not only significantly reduced the cost of construction, but also significantly reduced the duration of the work, minimized interference with the surrounding environment and effectively achieved the goal of “zero-opening” “zero-disturbing”。
