To date, more than 5,000 law enforcement inspectors have been deployed throughout the province to inspect more than 10,000 publishing operators. More than 100,000 copies of various types of illegal publications have been collected, and more than 110 bookstores and travellers have been cleared。
In recent days, the provincial press and publications bureau and the provincial “yolling” office have established a joint operation with the authorities of the city of jenan. Starting on 6 june, a full clean-up of the jenan and surrounding publications market was conducted for a week. The focus of the inspections was on: first, the main events of the fair and the main hotels and surrounding areas, such as the sunaru international exhibition centre, shandong house, the south side hotel, the provincial sports centre, shandong theatre, the moma theatre, the provincial museum; secondly, the centralization of books, computer software and electronic publications; thirdly, railway stations, bus stations, airports, tourist attractions, popular sections, densely populated areas, shopping malls and travellers around schools; and fourthly, printing enterprises with print capacity。
