Mid-spring is the critical period for pig hog cultivation. In the forest floors of the three temple villages in west fortune, the growers carried out an orderly pig-planting operation to lay a solid foundation for a productive harvest when they seized a favourable farm in the spring。
At the planting site, the villagers were scattered under the forest and were skilled in the process of digging pits, spreading bacteria, planting grass, land cover, etc. The planter xianbin used idle forest land to develop pig hog cultivation and absorbed more than a dozen villagers from the surrounding area。

The three temple villages are located in the interior of qin, with vast forest resources, and the soil weather conditions are suitable for the growth of pigs. In the past, the main source of income was the presence of a large number of the villagers, with relatively single channels for the growth of labour. In recent years, villagers, based on local resource advantages, have been developing pharmacological plants such as hogs and tima under forest, creating an industrial model of “large-houseled, farmer-involved” and effectively carrying out idle forest land and idle labour。

At present, 13 households have been established in the three temples village, which leads some 70 villagers to work in close proximity each year, with an increase of approximately $20,000 per person per year。

The county-wide programme focuses on the cultivation of medicinal materials in insecticidal areas, the integration of forest land resources with those of the labour force, the channelling of large growers to scale up, the support of villagers in the area of close labour, the learning of technology, the promotion of the expansion and standardization of the pharmacological industry under forest, and the promotion of the specialty forest industry as a “gold goose” for the stable growth of the village's income。
