Last week an eqe owner told me that the 4s store made a routine maintenance offer of 2180, and he asked me if i should go outside. I said don't rush the decision. You'll see the bill。
I've been in the mercedes for 20 years, and i know better than anyone the difference in the maintenance price between 4s and the outside shop. But instead of standing on the team today, i'll just help you figure this out。

Let's get this straight: the gas truck and the train's a. B. Are two systems
The maintenance of the trams was different from that of the tankers and there was no engine, so there was no oil filter. Benz official maintenance splits a and b, alternating, once a year. But many owners do not know that the a/b of the oil and electric cars is not the same thing. Today it's the eq pure electricity series。
Eq pure power a/b - core around high pressure systems, no engines:
- eq trail a: high-voltage system detection + 12v bottle inspection + brake system inspection + regular inspection (inorganic oil filtering)
- eq tray b: based on a, + ac filter replacement + more comprehensive testing

- key features: maintenance logic is based on high-voltage batteries and electro-pulsive systems, b paul has more insulation than oil trucks, bms scanning, etc
Don't think it's easy without a motor. The detection dimensions of eq series b are broader than those of oil tankers: insulation resistance measurements, bms fail-code scanning, and battery cooling back-circuit sealing — three of which are special high-pressure tests that do not exist at all. So the eq trail b is not less expensive than the tanker, and the testing is more professional。
Why is 4s maintenance expensive
In three places:
The cost of spare parts — the original plant for the 4s store — is of guaranteed quality but is indeed expensive. For example, eqe's air-conditioning filtration core, 4s store offers $1053 (including hours of work), which can be handled with 300-500 brands。
Hours of work standard - 4s has a fixed hourly rate for each project at the rate of the benz official hourly rate. B's hourly rate is about $635, and the outside specialized shop may require only $200-300。

Additional items - this is where the difference is greatest. Additional items such as air-conditioning cleaning, cooling systems decomposed and 12v in-depth detection of bottles are recommended for maintenance at 4s, with several hundred or thousands of additional items added at a time. These items are not supposed to be done, but depend on the actual condition of the vehicle, not on maintenance。
Why is it cheap out there
Spare parts are flexible - brands (man and mahler) can be used outside, of high quality, at 30-50 per cent lower than the original plant。
Low working hours - specialized shops operate at lower costs than 4s, which are naturally cheaper。
It should be noted, however, that tests of high-pressure systems and battery health are not necessarily available in a general specialized shop with a mercedes-specific diagnostic device, which can only be done at 4s and authorized maintenance stations. The owner of the motorbike went outside to maintain it, and the check might not be possible。
Price comparison table (example eqe)
A1 (high voltage system detection + 12v bottle inspection + regular inspection): 4s store 1200-1500 vs 500-800 outside
B(a)+ ac filter + full check: 4s store 2100-2500 vs 800-1200 outside
Air-conditioning core replacement: 4s store 1053 vs 300-500 outside
High pressure system detection: most vs not equipped in b
Brake fluid replacement: 4s store 400-500 vs 200-300 outside
Air-conditioning cleaning (full depth): 4s store 800-1500 vs 300-800 outside
How do you choose
New vehicles are on bail — priority 4s, quality assurance and high-pressure system testing is complete。
A warranty period was granted — the budget was flexible, routine maintenance was done outside, and the high-pressure system test recommended a return to shop 4s or an authorized station with xentry equipment, once a year。

The six-year maintenance package - a long-term package promoted by 4s will be carefully calculated, and the seemingly cheap but possibly expensive project will tie up a number of additional items that you do not need, which will be decided on a case-by-case basis。
Remember: it's enough to maintain the project specified in the manual, and the recommended project asks "does this manual exist?" if not, it can be done without。
How much does it cost to keep your mercedes at once? Let me see if it makes any sense
