The competition is divided into three categories according to the subject matter and content of the work: sports, discipline and nature. The sports category is new and, in view of the proximity of the beijing olympic games, the organizers of photoworld and the sponsors of the good energy corporation are specializing in the exercise and excavation of sports photography。
This competition, as in previous years, attracted thousands of professional photographers and amateur photographers to participate, collecting more than 24,000 entries. Among them are the two main categories of social life and journalism in the past, including current political, economic, scientific, literary, military and social news photographs covering all aspects of daily life, and thus one of the largest categories of entries, with more than 13,000 entries in the current competition; 1,524 and 7,200 in the sports and natural categories, respectively; and 2,763 in the new humanity award。
A total of 198 awards were established by the organizers. In addition to the one-two-three prizes, one-hundred-thirty prizes, one-hundred-thirty prizes and one-hundredth prizes each for the three categories of sports and nature, an annual digital prize was added to the competition. The new humanity award, which limits the number of contestants to 30 years of age (including 30 years of age), is independent in the selection of the award, without interference from the rest of the work, and has the opportunity to participate in the selection of all other awards, which the organizers hope will better reward the newcomers. This year, the 13th year of the asian winds competition, which is the annual contest. The 13-year-long event, which brought together the leading photo professional journal, photoworld, and the optical power company, has been well-known in the photography industry and has attracted the participation and attention of a large number of professional experts and members of society. On the one hand, photoworld, as a publication under the umbrella of xinhua, has the mission of promoting chinese image industry standards, and, on the other hand, through such an exercise, the company can fully demonstrate its “image culture, as much as possible,” and the win-win model of cooperation has led to the “asia wind” photography contest’s status rising year after year with a steady pace。
The asian winds competition had selected numerous good works for china and the asian region, and had achieved many professional aspirations. The organizers and the company hoped that the competition would continue to advance the industry and bring in a new camera。
