In an effort to further enhance the awareness of teachers and students about fire safety, as well as to secure fire safety lines on the campus, a well-organized and diverse “fire safety into school” campaign was organized recently by the united water supply and water management fire and rescue division. Through a variety of forms, such as theoretical discourse, interactive experience, and physical exercise of equipment, all teachers and students learn about fire safety at “zero distance” to feel the seriousness and importance of fire safety work and to build a solid “firewall” for school safety。
During the event, firefighters gave teachers and students detailed presentations on specialized equipment such as fire extinguishers and break-out tools, focusing on methods and techniques of fire extinguishers. Teachers and students, under the guidance of firefighters, practice carefully and master the four-step operation of “up, up, hold, hold”. Firefighters also invited students to try on fire suits, air respirators, etc., to board fire trucks and experience firefighters ' daily work. The chief of the integrated guidance section of the fire and rescue division of waterworks city, li wengyan, brought a lively fire safety lecture to her students, who, through a series of alarming fire cases, demonstrated to their teachers and students the dangers of fire and the importance of fire prevention, as well as in-depth and shallow information about the identification and prevention of fire hazards, as well as patterns of fire spread, methods of first-time fire rescue and life-saving techniques, to give them a more intuitive and profound understanding of fire safety。
